I'm going to puke!!

I had to go to my class today to get work and since they watched a video I figured I would stay, nothing bad about sitting in a chair relaxing to a video... wrong! It was a movie with three parts- first they had leeches suck blood out of this guys chopped of fingers! Then to make it even worse, the second part had a lady whome had a big chunk of her heel cut out due to an accident, the docters filled her heel with MAGOTS and taped it shut!!!! EWWWWWWWWW!!!! Then this lady got her finger ripped of, tendons and all by running from a dog, her finger got caught in the chain- they cut her big toe off, showed it all- ripping ligiments out and what not, with SOUND- and sewed it onto her thumb stump! AUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... needless to say, I went home after that!!! I don't think I will be going back to sit down for any movie untill I go back to school for good! Talk about bad on an expecting girls stomach!

Then... to really make me mad, I lost my coupon book! I usually go grocery shopping, walk next to my mom with my own cart, and get what I can for cheap with doubled coupons... I lost them all

lol my family had rice for dinner, kinda reminded me of magots- took a sandwhich and I'm in my room!

Good night cruel evil world!! Maybe tomorrow will be better... it has to be, as long as magots and toe to thumb surgery arn't involved!

but I watched that show too not to long ago on discovery or tlc one of those channels had that same thing on....

It was sick all to Heck but I found it rather interresting how the leeches were able to get the blood flow back into the fingers so that the guy could keep them!

the maggots ate away at the dead/infected muscle and stuff to regererate the growing process and at the same time kept the wound clean and free from bacteria so that it would heal properly.

the ladies toe for a finger was really interresting too, but hey, I would do it for my own self esteem if my finger was missing too.( although the one i saw showed a woman with her ring finger missing and they put her 2nd toe in place of the finger so that she would wear her engagement ring and wedding band when she got married ).. but it was still interresting!

I think they aught to warn people before they show something like that however. me, im not to squeemish at things like that. but im sure it would be different if I was watching it in a room full of people making oooooh and aaaaaaaahs and eeeeeews.

When my Grandfather was a little boy in Scotland had a rock fall on his foot and crushed his big toe(this was around 1900)and they put leeches on it so he wouldn't loose it.His toe was flat as a pancake and sort of spoon shaped with a lump of toenail in the center.I think the leeches kept the blood flowing a until it could start to heal.

Ditto! I told my fiance that if I ever got on Fear Factor and I had to sit in maggots, I would quit! Anything else I could handle! Well, I'm not fond of bugs w/lots of legs either.
