Well, went to the lawyer this am. It was a waste of time. He said he was going to send their lawyer a letter and hope they back off but he doubts it. The only other alternative is to go the bankruptcy route; But they dont do that at legal aid. He gave me the name of another lawyer to call but said I dont know if you will have the money to do that either. So I guess Im going to loose my home. I dont have the money for the foreclosure lawyer or the bankruptcy lawyer. And now I owe legal aid too. I dont know how much yet. I have no where else to go. My son and I will be on the streets I guess. When will I ever get a break...

Have you tried Housing Athorities? Before you do go homeless you need to look at all your options. Call everyone and anyone, Someone's bound to lead you in the right direction.
I doubt if you can file bankruptcy if your home is already being foreclosed.

I went searching for some websites on foreclosures for you I found 2 that looks promising the first one says they are associated with some big name governemnt lenders and lists them before I called the people I would look up the 800# for the lenders they are associated with and call them to make sure this group is for real and not a bunch of scam artists I would let the compnaies I called know these people are listing themselves on the net as being associated with them so that the customer service person might take a little extra time to look them up for you. Its http://www.foreclosureassistance.com/ They also have a 1-800-513-0602 listed on their website but please check them out before you get involved with them there are a lot of scam artists out there. Also found a website with foreclosure laws by state, here it is, http://www.stopforeclosures.com/ Now I would also call my congressman to get them to look into this situation also, I know you might not feel it is anything they can do but just the fact that they are calling and asking question at the bank might make the bank back off and accept the money you have sent, if there is any chance that the bank might be bending a rule to their benefit they might back off if they know someone with some clout is looking their way. Hubby waited 6 months for money from GI Bill to come through everytime we called they said yeah we got the paperwork but our computers are down, after 6 months of no money he went to our senators office, within 2 weeks we had a check sent to us. It does make a difference to have that kind of help even with another government agency. Good Luck!

((((((Scifiwoman))))))) please check out these people through the BBB if they are going to charge for any services, there are so many scam artists out today, I do not know anything about them so please don't take my listing them as a recomendation. Also, thought of another thing that might be able to help and thats the comsumer credit counseling agencies, some of them are free, I think Genus is supposed to be free, not sure if it still is, and there are others as well, be careful, some have set themselves as a business and do charge. Does anyone know the websites for the free credit counseling agencies? The second website was supposed to list the laws on foreclosure, from what you are reading, did they the bank break any of the laws? I hope so but call your congressman's office and have them look inot the situation, it might scare the bank inot backing off and taking the money, I think just the fact that they are holding your money and not returning it might be pushing it, from my point of view that means they have accepted your payment but call the congressman his staffs services are free, and so are some of the the consumer credit counseling agencies, and though you might not realize thats what the congressmans and senators offices are supposed to do is help the people with these kinds of problems. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

thanks mesue I will check them out if they mention a fee. It said free consultation so I take that to mean there will be a fee. We will see if and when they get back to me. They didnt cash my check, I wish they had then I would have them. They just held it, never returned it to me. No we dont have anywhere to go. My mom is on SS and has my sis and her 3 kids there with her in a 3 br house. Have no friends to take us in either. I checked on housing and they have a 2 yr waiting list. I dont know what we are going to do.
