Baby found with dead mother
In the town of Lebanon, here in Indiana, a 2 mo. old baby was found lying next to his dead mother, who had been dead for 2 days...He was hours from death, severely dehydrated. He is now recovering and they think he will be fine. The mom was 29, and died from a blood disorder (factor five disorder)....how sad...but what a miracle he'll be ok!!
Here's a link if you'd like to read the article.

How sad. Some people have no one to check on them which is sadder. At least they saved the baby, thank God.

Wow! How awful! I agree, I dont know if it sadder that the baby lost his mother and almost lost his own life, or that nobody came to check on her or the baby in that amount of time.

This is why it is so important that single people have someone who checks in on them. You never know what might happen and without someone who cares you can end up dead for days before anyone notices. Very, very sad.

Oh man! I'm not gonna read the whole story. This is one of my biggest fears (I dont' know why), that something will happen to me while hubby is at work & I'm at home with the boy and since I'm out they boy will end up doing something or getting into something and hurting himself, and no one will know til hubby gets home. Its so irrational, I mean what are the chances right? But then I read something like this, and I think, its possible.
So sad. I'm glas the baby is ok.

This is so sad! An ex boyfriend of mine died and no one knew it. He was strung out on drugs (not while I was with him!) and had heart failure while cleaning out his dad's apartment. He had alienated everyone in his life because of his problems. A neighbor called to complain about the odor coming out of the apartment so someone went in and found him. It was so sad. But this poor woman! This is really tragic!

My aunt had a stroke in her apartment and she wasn't found for two days. She was very independent and her neighbor was suppose to watch if her paper was picked up each morning. Well she didn't do a very good job and that's what happened. Older people need to invest in lifeline or some kind of communiction system for themselves.
We had a woman in our city that took care of her mother who had Alzeheimers. she went down the basement to do the laundry and collapsed and died. Well her mother was left alone and they found her in the yard also dead. She must have gone to find her daughter. People need people, that's for sure.

the baby may not have been screaming, when my son was dehydrated severely because of an unkown fever he either could not or would not cry, just stare at you blankly. This is very sad.... glad the baby is ok though...
