Well Tomorrow is the big day!! I'm scared to death. I will be having my hysterectomy. Wish me all the luck. My mom just told me last night that she got a new job and wont even be there for me and my hubby, I was hurt but I will be fine. I'm scared to leave my children. But they will be with the ne person that is very dear to me. And that is Lovechild (my sil), she will be taking care of them while I m at the hosp.

Please pray for me!!

Surgeruy is always scarry. But I will say a prayer for you. I had mine in 2000 and I was fine. No pain at all. When I went home I took it easy for 2 weeks and then I was back to normal.

I've never had surgery but my sis has. She said you feel so tired cause she thinks the anesthesia is working it's way out of your body and it takes awhile so be patient.

Also, ask the doc if you can take stool softeners to help with the other problem. Good luck, sure you will be fine.

Hey cabann nope we haven't seen anything from Steven. Skyler loves having a penpal, he tell everyone he has a new friend it is so cute. Thanks for the good vibes

You will do just fine. I had mine in 2000. Is your doctor going to do this laprocosply or abdomenly(sp?)
Be careful of what you eat a day or 2 following surgery. Last thing you will need to be doing is throwing up.
Prayers will be said.

I also had mine done in 2000, and didn't have any problem whatsoever!
And, as Charm said, make sure you can take care of all your bathroom duties before you're discharged. Makes things a lot easier. I was in the hospital for 2 days and then up and around within a week after coming home. Just make sure you take it easy for a while, don't lift anything, etc, etc.

You'll LOVE not having your period anymore! I certainly don't miss having mine!

By the way, I see you're from Cedar Falls. My uncle and aunt live there. He's a retired professor of history at the University of Northern Iowa. I was there a few times and it's a very nice area with lovely people!
