Angry Stupid Bill Payer, Bank, Trash Company and Husband isn't too bright either!

I hate using bill payer! Most times you use this service and what ends up happening is your bank mails them a check. WTH! I can mail them a check myself!!!!

Last month my husband paid the electric bill by bill payer. A week after we paid it they came out and turned my electricity off. I called them, they had not received the payment yet. So I had to take them a copy of the bill payer thing and they came out and turned my electric back on.

So, I told the husband don't use bill payer anymore it isn't worth it. He said ok I was right.

Well this morning I took him to the bus station and my trash can was sitting at the end of my driveway. I come home and my trash can is gone. I called the husband and asked when he mailed the check to the trash company. He didn't answer me right away and then finally said he had used bill payer. I asked him why he used it after we had agreed not to use it anymore. He said it was easier. So, I called the trash company and they said they hadn't received the payment yet. He did the bill payer on February 3. They said to call the bank and see when they sent the check out. So, I called the husband and told him to call the bank and find out what was going on. He said he would as soon as he got to work. Then, he calls me back and asks me to call the trash company to see if they put the payment into our new account or our old account (which was closed 5 months ago).

I called the trash company, the payment went into our old account. They said the bank sent it to the wrong account. So, it isn't all the husband's fault. Now I am on hold while they try to figure out if they are going to transfer the payment to my new account. WTH! Why wouldn't you transfer the payment?

I hate this!!! So, now until they figure out what they are going to do I have no trash can and I am trying to Spring Clean!!!

Thank you for listening to me ramble. I know this is kind of a petty vent, but it really pi$$es me off!

Some disposal companies supply you with a garbage can, they take whatever garbage you can put in it, but if you have large stuff, some charge extra

I will tell the husband to check into this.

What really makes me mad about the whole trash and electric thing is we live a block and a half away from these businesses. Like he can't just go drop off a check! MEN!!

If you can drop off a check, I would encourage you to do that instead of mailing or using bill payer. My mother sent a check into her electric company 5 DAYS ahead of schedule and they sent her a letter charging her the late fee cause it was not in the office on the date is was due. She sent me over with a check and I paid (w/o the late fee) and she called them and fussed. Needless to say, she drives to the co. and pays the day it is due. I do not trust mail service if I can drop it off myself. LOL.

That is how I feel also! This way I can get a stamped receipt in case anything happens.

Where I live now, you have to go to the super market and buy special bags to put your garbage out, for $1.75 a pop. (This fits two of my tall kitchen garbage can bags.) It was pretty foreign to me at first, lol, where I grew up you just left ANYTHING by the curb and they came and got it. I guess paying lower property taxes has its disadvantages.

ANYWAY miccit... I would be pissed at hubby too, lol, as a matter of fact this sounds EXACTLY like something he would do.
