Why does she refuse to get a lock with a combination, is she worried she won't remember the combinaton or maybe that she won't be able to open it, she probably would not admit it if thats the case, perhaps you could just get her one and let her play with it until she gets used to it, you know shes not going to carry all those books home for very long, your going to end up paying for books. I know what its like I've raised three, my son is still at home and stubborn as an old mule. Good Luck!

(((((FBH))))) I am so sorry your daughter is well a teenager!
My little sister is 16 and I get calls all the time telling me she won't live to see 17 if she doesn't get it together. I just laugh and tell my aunt she said the same thing when I lived at home. Maybe she is worried that she won't remember her combination. Maybe you could let her know that you will write it down and she could call you if she forgets it. Oh and not to change the subject but Sera got her Valentine yesterday. I am glad it came a few days late, she has pink eye and it really brightened her day!!! I hope it gets better soon!!!! |

Don't know if it is the case with her, but I remember when I was in school, it wasn't COOL to have a combination lock!!!!! too, with the combination lock, you run the risk of someone getting your numbers, I had a push button one, and had my lock stolen right off my locker, I would definately ask why she doesn't want the combination lock

We didn't have lockers at my school (not in this country). I carried my books in a basket with handle to all of my classes. It was kind of neat and it looked cool. But considering how many books kids carry around today, I would die without a locker.

I know exactly how you feel. I have had to replace my sons lock a few times this year. But not because he had lost the key, oh no, it was because he would get into such a hurry and not close his lock all the way. When he would return to his locker the lock would be gone. KIDS.
