    Dirty Plays

Mississippi State center Dillon Day stomped on two different LSU players. First, Day stomped on Davon Godchaux’s stomach, and then he jumped on Rashard Robinson’s groin, taking him out of the game. He was suspended for half a game last year - for stomping a player in the Auburn game.

Let’s hear your reactions in the comments after you watch the video footage of the dirty play in both of these events…

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are on the road Saturday night in one of the toughest places to play as they visit Death Valley and the LSU Tigers. With not many people giving them a chance, the Bulldogs are shocking a lot of people early on, holding on to a 17-0 lead in the first half.

However, they’re not shocking people in an entirely positive manner, neither.

Watch in the video below as Mississippi State’s Dillon Day stops on an LSU player after a play, going full Ndamukong Suh.

Now on a serious note, all joking aside, there is no place for anything like this in the game of football at any level. Not the NFL. Not college. Not high school. Nowhere, period.

There’s no doubt that head coach Dan Mullen will be having a discussion with day at halftime.

    Name: Dillon Day
    College: Mississippi State
    Number: 63
    Height: 6-3 Weight: 300

I’m not a fan of either team…but this is insane that he’s even allowed to play after this. I could see if it was accidental but both times looked extremely intentional…let this for do this to alabama defense and I’ll guarantee he gets hurt bad.

Mississippi State center Dillon Day suspended one game for unsportsmanlike conduct against LSU
    Sept. 24, 2014

The Southeastern Conference has suspended Mississippi State center Dillon Day for the Bulldogs’ next game, against Texas A&M, after reviewing game film of him stomping LSU players.

LSU coach Les Miles said Monday that the school sent video to the conference of Day stomping on defensive tackle Davon Godchaux and cornerback Rashard Robinson during the Bulldogs’ 34-29 win. Here is the video courtesy of Saturday Down South and ESPN.

“This action is the result of multiple flagrant and unsportsmanlike acts during the game, as well as previous disciplinary action for similar behavior,” the league wrote in a statement.

Day, a Monroe native, was suspended by Mississippi State for the first half of a game last season for stomping on an Auburn player.

The Bulldogs are off this week and host Texas A&M on Oct. 4.

“I think not only did TV catch that, but that was something that we caught, that we sent in,” Miles said Monday. “And certainly the conference will do the right thing.”

Day, through his Twitter account, apologized in a letter addressed to Mississippi State fans. He said he was “wrongfully accused.” https://twitter.com/DoomzDAY63/statu...32018415042560

watch the clip and make your own call.

    ...

I just watched the video of Dan Mullen, Coach of :"THE DOGS" and he didn't see anything wrong with what Day did. You should be ashamed, Mr. Mullen. I cannot believe you would continue to let a player continue this behavior without team punishment. And it's not the first time the SEC has cited him. I used to be a fan of Mississippi State when they weren't playing LSU, but not anymore. Les Miles would have never condoned a player's actions like that. These actions were intentional, period.

    ...

There's a pattern, too. I wonder if past actions have been "hustling." Hopefully, Day at least learns that sometimes, a one- or two-sentence statement is enough. Don't put such detail in writing since behavior shows it's likely going to happen again.

    ..

Seriously, you condone this type of behavior? The game has rules - to be followed. Apparently this jerk has done this type of thing before and didn't learn from it. Watch the tape - and if you think this is the way the game is played, then you need to do some research. Sure, football is a rough, tough sport. However, respect for your opponent, yourself and your team should come first. Face it - he got busted, now he's suspended. Shameful behavior. Nothing about this was about our getting beat - none of us deny that MSU handed our butts to us on a platter. This is about the behavior of one player who chose to act vicious on national TV.

    ..

Football is a game, not combat. They have rules for a reason.

Trying to decided if I'm going to go ahead and put it on my mix tape twice so it gets played more than the other songs at my tailgate.

I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire
Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me ROAR
    Louder, louder than a lion
Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me ROAR
Oh oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    You’re gonna hear me roar
