You have gotten some great advise from everyone above so just re-read theirs. Filing bankruptcy is not ILLEGAL or WRONG it is fair for your situation and it is none of their darn business. Don't listen to your "christian" family. I know some like them and they will rot in hell for their actions. I am so glad your DH is healing so well from that hip replacement surgery. Sending you hugs and prayers.

I can not stand people like that. Do your best to ignore them. They really hate that. I mean don't answer their calls or anything. If they start to tell you somehow, cut them off and tell them you don't have the time or energy to listen to anything they have to say. Don't even try to argue back because I think logic may be lost on them. Um, by the way,
God doesn't simply punish someone because another person "judged" them to be unworthy. lmao This person's ignorance is really showing.
You do your best to take care of your husband and yourself. Only God gets to have an opinion that counts. He knows your heart, they don't.

Thanks everybody. I've been trying to defend myself for years. One day when the truth comes out they'll see it wasn't me that lied to them it was other people. I've been told that it doesn't matter if the people come up and tell them they lied, too much has been said and done they still wouldn't change their mind and be friends again. I don't understand that way of thinking. If you find out someone lied to you why would you still be mad at the person that was lied on unless you never had any feelings for them in the first place. I'm just tired of defending myself over and over and being told I'm lieng and the truth wont come out because it already has.

I agree. Thats why it doesn't bother me when they say God will do something to me. He's the only one, besides the ones that lied and me, that knows I'm telling the truth.

Or, you could just give them a sad pitying smile, put your hand gently on their arms and say, "I'm praying for you" and walk away. That would kill them. On the other hand, it sounds like these folks need a lot of prayer.
