What else can happen this year?
Ok, so far, in just THIS year that we are only a week into .. this is what has happened:
My son in law is getting 3/4 of his checks garnished for child support, when they are only supposed to take 40%, and there has been NO work for him the past two weeks due to weather ( he drives truck for a company that repairs roads).
My stepson got laid off.
Work has slowed wayyyyy down for hubby.
My new grandson was born on Jan 4th. The next day he was rushed to a hospital in Oklahoma City because they thought he had a bad heart murmur. It wasn't. He has pulmonary stenosis, basically he has a bad valve. They were to do surgery today thru a catheter in his leg, but his right lung was full of phlem. They got that out, but now they think he might have air in it or fluid, but they did a sonogram and found no fluid. They only have til Monday to do the surgery. After that they can't give him the meds to keep the valve working, and they will have to do open heart surgery instead of the catheter/balloon surgery. The open heart surgery has so many risks. This baby is only 3 days old.
DH, me and DH ex wife ( who I am friends with) has been watching my stepdaughter's other 3 kids while she and her hubby have been at hospital. Then hubby's ex wife's dad got some bad news today but her mom won't tell us what it is because of the stress we are going thru with the baby.. we know he has alzheimers, and some tumors.
I am so stressed out, exhausted, scared as hell I might lose my new grandson who is gorgeous by the way. his name is Alejandro ( he is part mexican) Jewel Lynn ( the 2 middle names are after grandfathers). we call him AJ tho.
sorry this is long.. just needed to vent.

Thank you all!! Got a phone call earlier, they got more mucus out and they are saying he sounds really good. I am just hoping its good enough to do his surgery. This poor baby can't even cry because of a ventilator. They can't feed him because that causes more work and stress on his body to digest it, etc, so he is only getting sugar water. The catheter/balloon surgery should take 2-3 hours, then after 12- 24 hours they can wean him off the ventilator. If he can breathe on his own, we will be able to hold him and he can try to suck. If it wasn't for 1 nurse who was really listening to his heart when he was about 12 hours old, they would have released him the next day where he would have died within hours, or possibly died before he left the hospital.
I will post more late tomorrow night when we get home from the hospital. Keep the prayers up--my husband lost his 1st baby at 6 wks to SIDS when he was just barely 20 years old, the family cannot handle another baby passing..
I know in my heart he will make it.. the cardiologist said if you are going to have a heart defect, this is the one to have because it can be fixed and has a good success rate.. we just gotta get AJ's lungs good enough to have the surgery...

Lets all pray or send good vibes so his lungs will improve and they can do the surgery and that the surgery goes well with no complications. And for a speedy recovery. I really hope he gets better and thrives. Hang in there I know how stressed ya'll all are. We're pulling for him to get better and thrive.

Thanks all. Got a call this morning, his lungs are clear! Waiting on the doctor to come in and see if we can do surgery today. My internet might get shut off today.. hubby had to take off 3 days this week cuz of the baby, and didn't work much last week due to weather. Will try to find a way to keep up with updates. Please keep up the prayers!
