NO I do not believe you make $20/hour working as a janitor
NO I do not believe you made $5000 your first week.
NO I do not believe you that your "company" gave you an iPhone as a janitor.
NO I do not believe you bought a "huge house"
NO I do not believe you bought a "brand new Mercedes with tvs and sound system"

Just like HOUSE says "everybody lies"... some are just better at it than others.

I know a few people who will just say anything... whatever pops in their little head.

It *IS* possible to make $20 an hour as a janitor. It's the rate here at least if you are not salaried. The Iphone is a possiblility if there are multiple sites that require servicing for quick contact. Now the others, well, they sound like a stretch to me.

So, that means someone worked 40 hours of $20, and 140 hours of overtime at $30.... 180 hours in a week????
There are only 168 hours in a week.... something does not add up.

I guess $20 is possible, depending on where you live (not here... janitorial service here MAY get $10 an hour, most make $7-$8).... so that means the cost of living would be much higher than where I am, so the $20 would average out to the $10 here.

one of my best friends works at a school as a janitor -- she's been there almost 20 years... and she earns $24.50 a hour.

They get paid overtime for any hours worked over 8 hours a day... (which is almost daily), so she averages around 10 hours of overtime a week (at time and a half) or $36.75 per hour x 10 = $367.50 just on her overtime hours.


editing to add -- before taxes and union dues and insurance that equates to roughly $1350 a week...

now for the rest, about getting $5000 on $20 an hour, that doesn't make sense mathematically. LOL

It sure is hard to swallow lies. I have known a few through the years and I just think they believe themselves some times.

You should try Burger King -- they give you the iphone, $30 an hour, free medical/dental/optical/life and tickets for your whole family to travel to Mexico and the Middle East..and best of all they give you free bathing suits (in case you get the urge to swim in their deep sinks)
