not a vent.....but wanted to cry....

I just got home from work and got an email from my aunt. She sent me a picture of my grandmother. Grandma died two years ago and I miss her so much. This picture she sent of her, it's great. Grandma had one of those glamour sessions done and it's the best picture I've ever seen of her. I think it was taken about a year before she died. I opened that email up and tears just came to my eyes. Wasn't what I was expecting....

Awwwww sweety! I know how you feel! I lost my grandma last year near Christmas...... IT has a been a hard long year without her! I miss her sooooo much, and I lost my grandfather, 5 years ago, and it is still soooo hard to get through the summer without him too cuz he was my fishing buddy!

I would suggest printing it out if you are able to, and hanging it up for you to see everyday......... I will never say it gets easier, but you just take it one day at a time. I have pictures of my grandparents in my house because I believe in carrying on their memory. Its the closest thing I can get have them with me.

I printed out a 5x7 for both my sister and I and I forwarded my email to my baby brother. When his mom got remarried she took him out of state and the last time he had seen grandma was when he was 9. I wish I could figure out how to post it....this picture shows my grandmother's personality wonderfully! She had a bit of a devilish side to her and this pic it just shone right on thru. She always told us she didn't want 'no damn funeral'. We had a small burial, just immediate family. And a few months later, we went to her favorite park and had a memorial service for her. During the service, there was a hellacious wind that kicked up. Everyone laughed and said 'ok mom we get it'! And as soon as we were done, the wind stopped. Freaky!
