webtoyworld.com - who the heck is this?
whoever it is somehow charged my debit card $23 and made my bank acct overdrawn
I absolutely did not purchase anything from this place (we don't buy stuffed animals from anywhere) and of course no one answers the phone
When I got the voicemail, I couldn't understand what the guy said, but I am almost positive that he didn't say "web toy world". (hey IthinkNot, call em and see what you think he says LOL)
This is the 2nd time in a year that there has been an unauthorized charge on this account. (2 dif cards)
Bank told us to file a police report which we are going to do tomorrow (I am not on the acct, so have to wait till DH is back in town)
We are always so careful about using any cards online, but I guess we are just going to have to go back to money order and checks because this is a pain in the ass.

Oh hell no! We had someone take money off of my card before too. We had their service but had used DH's card to purchase the item (satellite). His card, not mine. But somehow they took over $400 out of our account with MY card! Dh's card had been stolen and replaced, so we knew they no longer had his #. I was pissed and when I called them about it and asked how they got my number the girl said "don't worry about how I got it". I went off! At the time my DH was laid off, we were living on unemployment and I was pregnant with Courtney. It was crazy.
I also have unlimited long distance, want me to call and see what he says too? LOL We can all compare notes.
I hope you get your money back! Sorry to vent like I did, I just know how ya feel. Our account was overdrawn when it happened to us.

Last year we had some company charge our card 2 or 3 times over $200 each time. No clue who the company was and when I called them, the guy said he couldn't access our acct w/o me giving him my card # .. riiiiiiiight
I am just irritated with the entire thing. That particular bank account is ONLY for my DD's SSI payments and her expenses. We don't use it for anything else. I've used it a couple of times this year to buy her shoes and certain kinds of socks that I can't find locally, but its not like I use it for general shopping.

I guess we should all be investing in a pre-paid credit card and only put small amounts on it. I sure hope you get this figured out.

I've had someone take money off my debit card too, and last month there was a e-check presented for 99.75 to my bank from some place called intabill for subscriptions Jan-May ?????? Any banking I do I use my real name (not Debbie) and they used my nickname and had my town wrong. I looked it up online and it is a place in Australia. I e-mailed them a little nasty note and got no reply. I got my money back, but what a hassle! And you would think the bank would have not paid it since the name and the town were both wrong. The only thing that was right was the account number.
Now my question is... how in the heck did some company in Austrialia (that I never heard of) get my account number????

Hey I got a question for ya'll....you dont have your bank account or credit accounts on robo-form or something like that do you?? Just a thought, I dont really know.
