oh ick
We bought a great dinner last night. Kentucky Fried Food Poisoning! All 6 of of us ate it, but only 4 of us had the chicken. And now we're all sick as dogs. Called KFC's corporate office, I'm going to get my money back, also called the health department because I noticed at the rest. last night that NONE of the employees were wearing gloves or hair nets. I observed them slinging raw dripping chicken bags in close proximity to the cooked products and get this! One of employees grabbed some of the cooked food, stuck her fingers in her mouth and back into the food!
I did call the health department and they are going to send out an investigator, but still doesn't help me or my middle boy any! Ok now I wanna go get sick

Re: oh ick
Wow! It's not a law in Illinois for all employees handling food must wear gloves? It is in Wisconsin (as I understand). I hope you all feel better soon. I know what it's like to have food poisioning and sometimes it actually worse than having the flu. I'm glad to hear you contacted the health department. Keep us posted on what happens if you find out.

Re: oh ick
I also thought it was a law for anyone handling food to wear gloves and hair nets! I know when I worked in a bar 20 odd years ago as a dishwasher I HAD to wear a hair net!
We took the sickest boy to the doctor, just waiting for him to get back, and I'm waiting for my doctor to call me. They said keep pushing liquids, toast that kind of thing. So far I'm keeping the 7 Up down. But my belly ain't liking it too well. I'll keep everyone updated. Prolly won't find out anything much.
But yes, their food is way too expensive and has really gone down hill. I prefer the chicken at Walmart to this lol. Not as expensive! And pretty tasty too. But I don't think we'll be doing fried chicken any time soon.

They say hind site is 20/20! The people I witnessed doing everything weren't the ones handling my food. I thought mine would have been ok. Last time I try that without saying anything!

Re: oh ick
Just because they didn't put your food in the box doesn't mean they didn't handle it before and during the cooking process.
I also would NEVER have purchased from there.
That being said....I really hope you get through this quickly....food poisoning is NO FUN!
Wherever you go....there you are!

Re: oh ick
NOPE! If I had seen that we would not have gotten food from them.
I hope you all feel better soon.
In NY food handlers(at least in the deli I work at) you have to wear a hair net OR have your hair pulled back with a hat on.

Oh no Teresa! Dang, with all you have going on, the last thing that you needed was this. I sure hope you and your family feel better soon.
