    Angry Ebay GC SCAMS!

Okay just out of curiosity i was surfing for Gc's. And they newest scam i saw was, GET THIS; someone posted they have 20 envelopes, 19 are empty, but one lucky winner will get $500 gc. Ya i bet If people are actually falling for this, DUH!
I was watching JUDGE JUDY the other day and this lady bought a cell phone or at least that is what she thougt and was sueing the ebay lister for return of her moneys when all she got was a photo of the phone. ANd supposedly in small print amongst pages of print it said photo only, but she had listed all the features the phone had etc. So she was a scam artist. Luckily judy made her give the money back!
but it amazes me the scams people are trying and probably getting away with on these auction sites!!!!

Did you see the one for $200 in Gift cards for .99 cents with the $10 shipping?

If your not the winner you still have to pay the shipping.

How stupid do they think people are?

Considering these types of auctions always have bidders, I'd guess the sellers are certain how stupid people are

the other scam with these are that they said in fine print. Value is UP TO $200 (meaning it could have $1.00 on the GC).

Also have read that alot of these cards are 'hot'

some people are so busy trying to get something for nothing they don't pay attention and read the fine print.

i don't understand either, i'm one of those that complete goes through feedback, and i get leary if they seem to have alot from one person, lol i understand repeat buyers, but sometimes they have more from that one person than all the others and i think they may have an alternate ID or a friend helping them boost that feedback, i've seen them have wonderful feedback on an ID for a year and over 1500 positives then go to hell ..course i'm sure they have been using other ID's for the scamming before that one, but it just shows ya how much time and effort they are willing to put into a scam, lol might as well have a real job, lmao

I just think its sad how many scammers there are out there, or which is worse:
the people scamming or the people falling for it?

Those are "mystery auctions" and allowed on eBay. It's just like playing the lottery...you win some you lose some but taking the risk is totally up to the buyer.

Some mystery auctions are okay although you do have to read carefully. I do mystery auctions from time to time for HBAs. I always pack the boxes full (flat rates) and everyone has been no less than thrilled.

The funniest ebay scam i saw last week.....A woman said she had gotten her tax refund back, paid all of her bills, and felt like putting extra money in envelopes in increments of $1 up to $400. I was laughing when i saw it had 18 bids! I'm so glad i'm not into taking the gamble to see what i'll get. With my luck, i'd end up with the $1.

I understand the mystery auctions that cost a dollar or two but, the ones that have a shipping when you receive it by email is not right. So no matter what you have to pay the shipping amount whether you win anything or not.

I have bought the mystery auctions for $1 before & ended getting like 25 cents but, there was no shipping for it.

I've never seen a mystery auction that was an email auction, that's just pointless?
