    Standing in line for HOURS!!

I am tired of standing in lines waiting for that Nintendo Wii. I was the 13th person in line today and the guy came out and said the store had 12. I finally found one...of all places, Wyoming. A friend said there were plenty up there. Yea...they forgot to ship any to Houston, they all went to Wyoming.

I for one will be glad when all the Christmas hoopla slows down.

I found one by accident. My son and I went to the mall and we saw a few people in line at Electronics Boutique. My son thought that maybe they got some new games in and got in line. I went and bought what I came for and then went back to meet him. He said the store manager came out and said they got 6 Wii sysytems in, my son was number 5. He saidd that they would be getting a few in every week and would just be putting them out as they came in without advertising them.

Well, it just so happens my best friend called me yesterday and I was complaining about being up since 3:00 in the morning and into the conversation she said she had bought an extra Wii the other day. Their Targets and Wal-Marts get large quantities at a time. 50-75 per store. She is shipping it to me. I couldn't believe it.
I had her overnight mine just to make sure I would get it. Since mail is backed up right now.
I wish you luck in finding one.
OH...you might try Craigslist in your area. There were some here in Houston that were offering it for $340. Also a lady on this board had one she emailed with the cost of $370. NOt sure you want to pay the extra.
Keep calling your smaller game stores in the area. They are suppose to be getting a few more.

Why do you all put yourselves through this? Is it that you have to be the first to get it?

Guess it's no wonder they can charge so much for this kind of stuff. I mean people who would stand in line for hours on end. Just plain crazy to me.

Nothing is worth all the hassle you all go through and to think next week after Christmas, all of a sudden they will have hundreds available.

Well, when this is practically the only thing your buying this person for Christmas then YES....I have to get it. It's not my fault that stupid Nintnedo can't make enough of a product then advertise it to death so everyone will want one. They do it on purpose.
You can roll eyes all you want, but don't tell me if your child or family member wanted something everyone else in the city wants, you wouldn't go try to find it. We are all guilty of that in some form.

Plus...what's the point of buying it the week after Christmas? Christmas has been made into such a material holiday, no one wants to wait for gifts. Do you?

While the world has made Christmas into a material holiday, do you have to? No you don't, you have a choice. I do understand that you may have a person who wants something but you know what, we don't always get what we want when we want it and if they want it that bad, if they got it on New Years, they would be just as happy and appreciative. There are folks that wont get what they want and it has nothing to do with it being in short supply, they dont have the funds and struggling trying to make it day to day.

And no I have never driven myself nuts trying to find a gift for someone just because everyone else wanted it too and there was a short supply. Complain about not getting that one thing and I take back all the rest and then you have nothing.

Just think...at least you have a story to go with your purchase!

I am glad my kids didn't want that stuff. Mine are into old star wars things...so that was pretty easy for me to find!
