EBayer feedback
We suggest our customer to leave positive feedback after recieving the
goods, we will do the same after you leave us a positive feedback. Once
again, thanks for your support.
Best Regards
This just bugs me! I haven't even received the item, just ordered it. What I am reading, is that as soon as I leave POSITIVE feedback - they will do the same. I paid instantly, with a buy it now, why do I have to wait and give them positive feedback (which I do - if there are no problems). Just annoying - makes me feel I am a "feedback hostage".

Re: EBayer feedback
I have made a few purchases on ebay, mostly college text books and instruments but some other things too and have a hard time trying to figure out how to leave any feedback. They should make it easier. Plus I would not leave feedback until I had the item and if there were any problems, they would have to be worked out.

Re: EBayer feedback
You have to think about it from a seller's perspective too. Alot of them depend on their sales to make their living. Alot of buyers take that for granted and just leave neutral or negative without trying to resolve problems. Granted some sellers may deserve negative but also so do some buyers. Buyers have the same power where feedback is concerned. They can leave negative after the seller has already left positive and it hurts the sellers reputation. They can also retaliate with negative if a seller gives it for non-payment. How is THAT not extortion.
My advice: Don't leave any feedback until you get the item. If you had a problem with their policy then you should not have bid on their item.

I don't see a problem with this note. As a seller on ebay I find that ALOT of times buyers forget to leave feedback when we sellers depend on feedback in order to have continued success. I think this note is just a reminder to please leave feedback when you receive the item.

Re: EBayer feedback
I'm one of those sellers who leave feedback when I get feedback.
Most sellers do it this way, as there are alot of buyers who are so quick to leve a negative for no reason at all.
If your that hard up for feedback, you should go n' buy some penny items & up your feedback rating.

Re: EBayer feedback
I am a seller on Ebay and I HATE seeing other sellers say they won't leave feedback until the buyer leaves it.
If the buyer has paid for their item, then their part of the agreement is done. Nothing more is required of them, so why not leave feedback? I put in little cards in the package reminding the buyer that feedback is an important part of ebay and that I have already left feedback for them, so I would appreciate it if they would do the same.
If someone leaves bad or neutral for no reason, you can always respond to it.
If a seller does not leave me feedback for paying promptly, then I won't leave feedback for them no matter how quick they ship or how good their product is.
I have had few occasions where the seller says they will leave feedback AFTER I leave it for them... so I leave neutral FB stating that they refuse to leave feedback although I have kept my end of the agreement. Tough if they don't like it.
As far as saying that most sellers do this... I wouldn't go that far. As a buyer (and I buy a LOT) I have only had a few do that to me... as a seller, I don't do it.

Re: EBayer feedback
I totally agree with you buttrfli. Feedback extortion is just WRONG. I won't ever buy from a seller who does this to me even ONCE.
Interesting, the ones defending say they do it for the business but it may be actually backfiring if others feel like we do.
Be who you are and say what you feel, those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Re: EBayer feedback
I don't agree at all. I say if you don't like a seller's policy don't bid on their item. To bid when you KNOW their terms and then use their feedback to complain about it is just spiteful and petty and it will most certainly BACKFIRE on you.
