dang, I'm a daycare provider....wish I made that off of one family! EEK! I've had parents balk at my rate of $75 weekly! That's full time, w/ 2 meals, snacks and drinks provided! Jeesh!

Glad you are only paying 400 a month now.

How much are they there for that price?

I think that is beginning to be the going rate around here - I live in Michigan. I saw a sign at a new daycare center that opened up and it says $100/week. Also about 10 years ago I think I paid 60-65/week for my son even when he was in school.

Not a typo.

I have two kids in daycare and it is $100/week for each child. Believe it or not that is cheap in the area I am located. This is full time from 7am until sometime after 4 pm. Now if I were to have them in a daycare center instead of a in-home daycare, the cost per week would be a lot more.

I know exactly first hand what you are going through. We fell behind with our electricity bill and they shut us off for a day because we didn't have the money to pay it that day and they wouldn't take a posted dated check. We had to ask for the money from my mother-in-law. She went to pay with a credit card and they said they take all major credit cards except VISA. That was the only card she had so she ended up paying it with a check. Last friday we had both are cars break down costing over $300 to fix. When it rains it pours!!
My husband and I work fulltime to make ends meet but with four kids and not getting any assistance we have a very hard time making it. I'm going back to school monday and will be dropping down to about 20 hours at work and will have to pay for daycare a few hours every day. I checked at the daycare where I'm going to school and they charge $5.50 an hour per child and it is more for the preschool program and if your not a student. I tried to find out about daycare assistance but right now because I'm not a single mom and I'm still working fulltime I don't get anything. As far as selling things on Ebay that is my intent also. I have a lot to get rid of but to find the time is a whole other story. I will also pray for you and know that your not alone. All we can do is hang on and hope things will get better.
