Please Say His Name
PLEASE SAY HIS NAME
Do you really think that I'm okay?
though my son has gone away?
Do you think because I smile
I have forgotten for a while?
I have to tell you that you are wrong.
He's on my mind all day long.
Though I may not let it show
He's always on my mind you know.
Why do you turn when I speak his name?
Do you not know it causes more pain?
Can you comprehend how I feel?
My son was here....he was real.
I miss my child,but I must hide
The terrible pain I feel inside.
The lump in my throat it hurts so bad
because I can't cry although I'm sad.
I can barely speak his name
For fear that it might cause you pain.
I miss my Chris......I miss him so.
I just thought that you should know.
Even though I laugh and play....
I didn't forget my son today.
Please say his name now and then.
Please ....say "Christopher" again.

Christopher is a proud name and I am sure that he lived up to it. Thank you and ALL mothers of members of our Armed Forces for giving the world a hero.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My best friend is named Christopher. I can't even begin to understand the pain you must feel. But I believe with all my heart he is still around you and you will one day see him again.

Oh (((Gobs))). I pray for you every night. I can't imagine the pain you must bear on a daily basis.
I just know that Christopher had to be a good man because he had such a wonderful Mom in you.Missing Mommy and Daddy.

That is a beautiful poem. My husband's name is Christopher and my oldest is named after him.My husband is an OIF (2xs) and OEF veteran. Thank you for sharing the poem with us and for letting us know a HERO from a mom's perspective. You will be kept in our thoughts.
A dog is not almost human , I know of no greater insult to a canine than to describe it as such.
