Re: Please Say His Name
My Dad died when I was 8. One of the greatest things was, as our addition (shell) was finishing up on a friday, I went out and bought soda, beer, burgers etc and had a nice little BBQ for us and the workers. they had done a great job but were also, friendly, polite and professional. The neighbors came by and the wife, (they had been living there since I was about 3 or younger),
started talking about how my Dad would have been doing the same thing, and cutting it up with them. She noticed the puzzled yet wanting look on my face and asked if my Mom ever told me about my Dad. I said no and she told of what a really great man he was. her husband also joined in with memories of his own. I hung on every word and loved it. It made me cry later but I am ever so thankful for their stories since there are few that knew him that are still alive.
So I agree. Talk up a storm about Chris but also remember that Zollie too was here and still is in the hearts and memories of those that knew him.

Re: Please Say His Name
I lost my son Joseph at shortly after birth back in 1984. To this day our family still talks about him even though we did not know him but for a short time. I also had a brother, William Dean, that passed away a week after birth and we talk about him, even though we never knew him. Both Joseph and William Dean were a part of this family and even though their lives were so short, they are worth remembering.

Re: Please Say His Name
That was beautiful. It sure made me think of my own Kyle and how I felt when I lost him some 17 years ago. There is not a day that goes by that I dont think of him. The holidays are the hardest but we must go on for the other children we have. God be with you now and forever as you go through this pain. Christopher is my nephews name.

Dawn, I must say that my heart aches for your loss of Christopher. And may I add, the picture in the trib a while back of you at his grave touched my heart to the very bottom.

Re: Please Say His Name
(((Gobs))) This is beautiful! It made me cry because I lost my brother last summer and I know it has been very hard for both my mom and my dad to move on with their lives. It has helped them by saying his name and talking about him and remembering all the good times or in my brother case the goofy times we had together. Your in my thoughts and prayers.
