This should have been LOCKED a long time ago. I am not taking any sides here (heck, I don't show up here enough to even remember anyone)...
It is fine to let people fight over an issue, but as soon as someone posts PERSONAL info, and that person COMPLAINS, end of thread.
IF they restart this, someone needs to INSIST that personal info does not get shared... leave that stuff offline, for the PD and legal to handle.

The personal information was blacked out when the OP was asked to remove it. It was not allowed to remain there, as the person you quoted has insinuated. The "proof" that she (shelly) followed through with her end of the deal, was left, as it should have been. As for someone complaining, it is very interesting that you quote where it was asked for us to remove the info...yet we never once received a forum support email about it. I never recieved a pm about it, and nor did any of the other mods or admin. It must not have been that big of a deal, or it would have been brought to our attention asap, here on this board, instead of on another board. I am also not going to go into every single 16 page thread hunting for violations. I do not get paid to babysit, as don't the other mods.
As for this thread being locked and removed, I'm putting it back and unlocking it. Yes, it needs to be handled in private, at least the intimate details, however, since this board allows trading etc, it is imperative that the members know who and what they are dealing with when they make trades. I think this thread is an excellent example of the risks people take when trading online. If anything, it shows that delivery confirmation means nothing when any person can claim...someone forged that, I didn't receive anything, therefore you are out of your money. Certainly makes me leary.

What other board? I know I haven't seen it anywhere else. I was kinda disappointed it had disappeared. I come back to see what happens. I thought I was going to miss out on the ending.

I haven't been to this website for AGES and look at all the fun I've missed.
I just had to put in my two cents (more like 75 probably):
I think it's amazing, the reaction to the USPS stuff posted..
the defensiveness...
if it was me, and this was some honest mistake, I think I'd be like,
"WTF, someone signed my husband's name on that!!!! How could that be???"
and be OUTRAGED and CONFUSED and all manner of other emotions, not flippantly defensive like OH WHATEVA THAT'S NOT MY HUSBAND'S SIG!!
I mean...
HELLO!!! Why is she not..a little more...shocked? if she's telling the truth?
weird.

That's BLACKED OUT??? Heck, I've found people on the net with LOTS less info than that... but with FULL NAME, and City, STATE, ZIP, I can EASILY find the actual address, and probably the phone number!!!
Oh, then there is this, with BOTH emails and names:

I thought quoting the PERSON asking that her PERSONAL info be removed WAS enough notification... I didn't thin they HAD to email or PM someone... especially when they SAID it IN A THREAD THAT A MOD was actively reading!
I just happened to read it yesterday, and saw the request to remove the info... I read the rest of the thread, and saw it degrade into an off topic chat, about "y'all and youns"... but the PERSONAL INFO was still there, so I closed it.
and when I closed it, I said if they start again, fine, just keep the personal stuff out of it!
Lastly, as far as taking sides... and the comment about someone posting on another board...
I NEVER take sides... and it wasn't posted (as far as I know) on ANY other boards. LIKE you, I don't have time to sit and read every thread, on every board I belong to. And I can't believe the accusation came from you... of all people. and normally I wouldn't have addressed any of this PUBLICALLY, but I had to answer what was started publically. If you want to point fingers about taking sides, read the thread and see which MOD was here, egging everyone on...
*Enough said, Katt, feel free to email or Ping me, should you care to discuss further*
I guess I'll just go away for a while again, since unbiased moderation isn't welcome here.
PS, I did agree it was an example of what can go wrong with a trade.... and also what can go wrong when mods take sides (not me...).
See ya!

Re: How you do start legal action against someone that owes you money?
Well, Tami has her email address listed on her profile and in several of her own posts...so I don't see how that's really an invasion of privacy. As far as the proof from the USPS that Shelly scanned... Tami and her friends were shouting for proof to be shown...until the proof was actually shown. Tami at one point was going to post a picture of her husband's signature.

Looking at feedback certainly must not help then huh Shelly? I have MORE positive feedback than anyone on the entire BBS site. I also have feedback at Saffys, Tinas and Ebay. So what? Does that prove you are LYING about all of this? I cant even get the dang insurance number you supposedly had on the package so I can call and verify myself. NOPE its all bs. There was NEVER anything signed for my my husband or myself from you. EVER. You sure sound convincing though. I honestly feel sorry for you though Shel. Either you mailed it and the PO lost it or you didn't mail it and YOU'VE lost it.
OHHH and if you have 12 copies PLEASE post one so we can ALL see? I can post a copy of my husbands sig too if that will help!!

So she pretty much wanted everyone to see it. Too bad that once Shelly proved that she was just another liar... she wanted the info removed.
And the part about you being unbiased is probably the greatest laugh I've had in a couple of months. And as for the other "biased mod", how is it that her throwing her two cents in being biased? Should someone bring up a post or two of yours from 2004 and we'll see just how unbiased you really are??
