i understand that.
i dont include her or the other students in what i was talking about. im talking about those who CHOSE to stay and had the means to get out.

You needn't yell. I can read in quiet. What I am saying is that you have no right to judge these people one way or another. You WERE NOT there. None of us were.

It appears as though this person doesn't really have a good hold on what reality is. Looking through rose colored, blue, black, green or gray glasses doesn't change what it is. I understand exactly where you're coming from. Many of those who wanted out couldn't get out.

You aren't clarifying what you're saying. You're making blanket statements that DO degrade the poor. What you're posting is the drivel that's being shown on TV. They show what's good for ratings, not what's really going on. I receive reports back from my family down there on a daily basis, and I'll believe anything they have to say rather than a report based on ratings. I'll believe reality over TV any day. THAT is what my father and son-in-law have to do with it.

Two: I don't judge. I don't REALLY know whats going on or has gone on down there either. You don't either. And for you to sit in your ivory tower and pass judgement on the poor people down there, well... shame on you.

And shame on you also for saying I called you those names. Show me instead of showing me your ass. I'm done with people like you.

if you think i made a judgement when i said that most of those people took their welfare checks to a liquor store (AND A GROCERY STORE) to be cashed....then you need to read my posts a bit more. I explained why i said that. You should also read that article I posted. If you chose not to, thats your decision. But then to me your head is still up your ass and you're refusing to see what im talking about.

But if you will notice, everything they are telling you about how the people down there lived, is exactly what im telling you. so since your agreeing with them.....im just going to end this and say your agreeing with me too.

oh....and the qoute that you agreed with by yankeemary (#293).....keep reading a bit more. SHE read the article i posted, and later apologized to me for our misunderstanding. all she did was read that article and she realized that i was not making anything up, or trying to be mean, rude, ignorant, judgemental, racial, or anything else you may want to call me.
