please i need prayers now

please pray for my grandmother she is in icu trauma unit in lexington the doctors keep trying to talk my dad into unplugging her and letting her die but she is trying to communicate and does not want to die.
i am really upset because they basically told us there was no hope but i believe in miracles and the power of prayer. they dont want to do anything for her because she is in her seventies and basically told us that they dont want to help her because she is too old. what is this world coming to? last night they figured if they cant get us to let them kill unplug her they decided they would help her along by overdosing her on morphene and she has told us that she is not in any pain. she cant talk but can shake her head to awnser our questions before they doped her up i actually got a smiole out of her the nurse basically told us last night that the doctor was basically giving her the morphene to shut her down. i need prayers fast please i love my grandma and she wants to live

I will be praying for her, This is horrible! I am so sorry that the doctors and nurses have put you and your family in this position! It is not right at all. They should be doing everything they can to help her and follow your families wished for her to be helped.

Does she have a living will and does anyone have the power of attorney for healthcare for her? If there are any documents that favor you and your family's wishes, get them out and show them, if they don't, don't bring them out. This is not the normal case, your grandmother is still able to communicate some, so stay by her side as much as to visit too, this is a life and death struggle and I will pray the God will help you, ask Jesus to be by your side and guide you, I am so sorry, I loved my grandmothers very much too, so I will be praying for you.

Also, if you read the psalms in the bible, you will recieve much comfort, it is about how it feels when you are facing your enemies and God will help you if you cry out to him. You can read them out loud to your grandmother, it will help her too. They have helped me get through some really bad crisises with my dying father-in-law. I hope this helps. I am sending love and comfort to you and prayers to Jesus who is our eternal rock and our hope in this unfair, cruel world.

That is horrible that the doctors are doing that to her.

I can`t believe that they won`t do as your family wants. I am praying for all of you especially your grandma. Could you possible get her moved to another hospital?

What is wrong with her? 70s, my mother is in her 90s. Does she have a terminal illness? Is she in pain? Might be time to get a lawyer or to threaten to get a lawyer. As far as I know assisted sucicide is still illegal in most states. And if your gramdma doesn't want to die then it's killing her for sure.

Will pray these so called health people will help your grandma have a dignified death in her own time and not do anything other than that. Huggs.

Ask for an Ethics Consult and family conference about your grandmother.

Since she is not able to make decisions right now,
is your father the decision maker?
