Please pray for my 8 year old son

My son Emilio has been so depressed due to being seperated from his father due to immigration matters. He last saw his father Feb 14, 2004 when we had to leave his father in mexico due to a denial on our petition. I have spent a year applying for waivers for this issue. Unfortunately as more time goes by my son gets more depressed. At christmas he cried and told me that all he wanted for christmas was his father back. Believe me I bawled like a baby when he told me this. This is beginning to affect his socialization at school . The once normal and social boy has become sad, depressed, and angry. He is also coming down with each and every virus that comes his way this winter. Please pray for his health and peace of heart. I might add he had an exceptionally close relationship with his father. When he was a toddler and pre-school age his dad spent a lot of time at home with him due to the same immigration problems. It seems to me a shame that so many fathers do not want to raise their children but my son is denied his father due to immigration issues. I cannot even move to Mexico due to economic issues and the fact my son does not even speak Spanish since his father and I decided that since Emilio would be educated in the United States not to teach him Spanish.I truly want to see this resolved after 8 years .In the name of the father, son, and holy spirit peace, grace and mercy be yours until christ returns.

I am praying for comfort and understanding for your son and that they can be reunited very soon. I can see where being seperated from his father would be very hard on your son and you also. Hugs to you.

Thanks for your prayers.At his school conference I was crying because his teacher was telling me how depressed he seems to be. There is nothing more I can do that I am not already doing. I wonder sometimes if some of our politicians had to go through what some of go through if perhaps things would be different. Oh by the way we are back from the clinic and Emilio has strep which he is feeling pretty crappy with.

Why not teach your son Spanish? It is part of his heritage. Our boys learned it as a 2nd language in grade school.

Is it possible that during the summer when he is out of school he could go spend the summer with his dad or visit him. And when he has other breaks from school go visit him. That way he can still see his dad and it may help bring him out of his depression. From what I understand children pick up a second language faster than adults. So if he goes there he may pick up on spanish and learn it that way.
