Yeah it's a frickin double standard! Don't get me wrong, I am proud to be skinny, white and female but there's a WHOLE lot more people coming up to me calling me scrawny, skinny, "too" skinny etc than there are skinny people calling "plus sized" woman "fat","obese" etc.

I guess people assume it's ok to tell me to eat yet, I would be offensive if I yanked that damn twinkie out of their mouth!

I don't WANT to be as thin as I am but this is the way it panned out.
My friends say stuff like "If Kellie turned sideways we'd never see her" Or "Do you need me to open the automated doors for you? I don't think it can see you"
They're joking. I know they aren't trying to hurt my feelings but if I remarked back in the same fashion, would their feelings be hurt???
    Happy!!

I think it also has to do with the type of clothes you get. I have a size 12 in girls(yes I said girls) skirt and a pair of pants. I also have pants anything from size 1 to size 5/6 so I think it has something to do with the type.

sneaks her big old size womens 34, not regular 34, but the GREAT BIG womens 34 butt outta here before it gets any deeper.....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

but seriously, ive been a big person all my life, and ive tried every diet in the book. i was just meant to be big, like other people are meant to be small. i never call anyone a stick or skinny, because i know how it hurts to called fatty or a big tub of lard. everyone should be happy in the skin they are in!!!!

"Hollywood" sizes aren't real-life sizes. Even real sizes vary depending on where the clothes are made. I can wear a 28 in jeans but the same brand in another color I'll have to have in a 30.

I guess the important thing is to be comfortable in the skin you're in. If you're fine with your weight then who cares what anyone else thinks, especially HW? I used to be a size 2, but after some surgeries I'm now a 14. But I'm still the same person, just MORE of the same person

I agree. Clothes can be so screwey sometimes. I have a pair of girls 16 pants that fit losely on me that I've had for years. I also have a size 0 pair of capris that fit, and sometimes I can't squeeze into a 3/5. My Wal Mart pants are a size 7 and they are semi-loose, but when I buy pants from places like Sears I end up getting a 3 or a 5.

My friend Sarah always used to say, "I wish you were fat like me." Gee, thanks. And she's not even big. She's 19 and wears a 7... What redrig said was right on... as long as you are comfortable, be happy.
