People can be so inconsiderate. I'm sorry you had to learn the hard way.

    I don't loan a thing out.

I have inlaws that are infamous for borrowing vehicles and bringing them back damaged, or reeking of cigarette smoke! Of course, if they'd take care of their own vehicles in the first place, they wouldn't be breaking down all the time. I know how ya feel....I'm very, very picky about what I loan out, and who I loan things to.

Did you ever see the movie 'the Borrower's' They live under the floorboards of a house. Well anyhow they 'borrow' everything they need. Don't leave something laying around, the borrower's will surely come in and help themsselves to it. Was it Thomas Paine or Ben Franklin that said 'neither a borrower nor a lender be'
Yep I learned as we all do, you never, never, never lend anyhting. I lent my daughter a cd, hey she was vititing. She still has it two years later. I'll have to go out and buy a new one. Thirty!!! Did you ever get the feeling you got took!!! Big time! As the saying goes, 'they saw you coming.' I'm sorry I'm cynical this am must be the weather. Have a good day

my grandmother taught me a valuable lesson on this...she said, "Never loan anything out unless you're prepared to buy two of them"

That really sux. How do you lose 30 cd's . My neighbor used to borrow stuff and not return. I always had to go ask for it back and it still took a while. They asked to borrow my shopvac the other day and I made sure I told them in a serious tone that I want it back as soon as they were done with it. They weren't to thrilled about it but they did bring it back. Just demand your things back. That's what I do now and it works and the chances of them asking again will be much slimmer
