Anyone trying to sell a minivan...

A while ago there was a post in vent/whine about how hard it was to sell vehicles. My hubby and I are actively looking for a minivan right now. We need one that has fairly low miles and that is in good running condition. In December we have to make a trip to FL with our then 20 month old son and our daughter who will be arriving about 3 weeks before the trip. We have been stranded before by a car that broke down halfway to our destination. PLEASE let me know if you have one that could work. We love the Toyota and Honda models, but at this point we just need one...don't really care what model, just that it's in great shape. I have a post in For Sale or Trade but it's not getting any hits and we really need to find one. This is a vent/whine post because it's getting really stressful trying to find one. We have some money saved for it, just can't find that perfect vehicle. We live in Virginia if that helps you know if a sale would be possible. Thanks!

Hope you find one soon. Keep checking the papers. And if you have any buy here/pay here car lots in your area, call around and ask, some of them will sell the vehicles they have for fairly cheap if you are willing to pay cash. Also, if there are any auctions around you you might be able to find one there.

Have you checked the auto trader in your town. You are in Va now right. They are usually sold in convience stores. They have an office in Richmond,Va. You can usually find something in them at a good price. They have an Auto Trader and a Truck Trader.

Another avenue would be to check if there are any public auctions near you. I got a couple of good vehicles through a public auctino when I lived up north.

DOn't always look for super low mileage. 5 years ago we bought a 92 Grand Caravan with 120k miles on it. it is still on the road with 180K on it now andhasnt ever had any problems except for routine maintenence.(tires, shocks etc) We just bought a 94 Town & Country with about 115K on it and it runs wondefully. I love it!!
We have had less problems with these 2 vans then we had when we bought a brand new Saturn.

Keep your eyes open. Look around and don't let the mileage scare you away. Sometimes its not a good thing but other times it doesnt make a difference.

Try autotrader.com or vehix.com both will look up used minivans in your area.

We just bought a Chevy Venture. They are wonderful vans.

Chelle, thanks...I wish I could take Delaine's post out. LOL...anyway, we are going to CarMax in Richmond on Monday in the hopes of finding the right vehicle for our family. I think their prices are fairly reasonable and we can get an extended warranty on their vehicles...That leaves me feeling much better than tossing chance to the wind and getting it from someone in the newspaper or something. We've been looking now for over 2 months, and I am ready to find one. Newspapers, commercials, magazines, word-of-mouth, you name it, we've looked there...lol. Anyway, wish us luck..I for one am glad to have this search be almost over...i hope. We are now looking for a new rental place since our family is expanding...lol. At least it all keeps me busy. After my auto wreck, we went the certified vehicle way. We purchased a Chevy Astro van at a very reasonable price.
I will ask my sweetie in the morning if saved the links we use to look for one.
