Nursing.... Well that depends on the school but usually you can do it full-time in four semesters or two years. There are usually some pre-req's you need to take (english, math, humanities, etc..) those could add on a semester or two. This is for your basic RN

If an RN degree probably 5 years. If just an LPN then about 3 years. I would say if you can get an RN degree because you get more money and in some places LPN's aren't much better than a CNA as far as duties and pay are concerned.

GONE FISHING
apply for a pell grant not a student loan. you don't need to pay back the pell grant and it will be there the day school starts. it pays for classes and books. good luck with you schooling. you can always apply for the loan later

My RN is a 2-year degree, but usually a 2 year wait to get into clinicals. There are certain factors that can get you into clinicals early. I was able to, but it's still going to take me 3 years. I guess a lot of it depends on the area--whether they have a lot of nursing students and/or a lot of seats for clinicals.

Most programs that I have been near require close to two years of required classes just to get in the program and then two years of clinicals for a RN degree. Sometimes you can get in earlier but they still require you to get all the classes done.
