Really ?? Is Hollywood so devoid of creativity that instead of new material they are going to just "remake/reissue" classics ... like Total Recall and Footloose. The even use the same scripts ?!? Sounds like they are using the soundtrack from Transformers.

Speaking of Rip-offs... they are making another remake of the TMNT ... only now instead of TEENAGE MUTANT Ninja TURTLES ... they are SPACE ALIENS TY Michael Bay.

I liked the original and won't see the remake. On the other hand, they're not making it for my age demographic so they don't expect me to go see it. I didn't really like the remake of Footloose. I really like Julianne Hough but just didn't care for the new version. Some things, in my opinion, are just great and cannot be bettered.

They are also making a feature length film out of Gillign's Island ?

I have not seen any of the remakes you mentioned and I will not be watching the dumb ass space aliens... just like I will not be seeing the remake of Never Ending Story, Return to Oz (if you haven't seen the original you are really missing out -- the fact that they are making it a cartoon just pisses me off even more) or probably many others. I also refused to watch the remake of Hairspray and I hear they are remaking Cry Baby... and I won't watch that either. I have seen bits and pieces of the remake of the willy wonka movie and I understand it is more accurate to the book... but it is not the movie of my childhood and I don't care... it's not the same.
