Hoarders
Does anyone watch this show? I like the show, but its sad as well. SO many people have a problem with hoarding. I mean we ALL hoard one thing or another, I guess it all depends on how far you let things go....
The one a couple weeks ago about the woman and the cats was REALLY sad... I am amazed that the woman and her husband didnt have worse problems than they did with all those dead cats in their house and garage...

I watch it, it's like a train wreck. I can't imagine being compelled to live in garbage. I wonder how it actually feels to need that stuff all around.

Did anyone see Oprah the other day when she talked about this show??? Very interesting comments from the MD, that was on with her...Said many have a form of mental illness..but also many others have bad histories..that causes them to start collecting and gathering objects. Can be scary at times.

I've seen it a few times, I think it is really interesting. I made DH watch a few minutes of one episode to prove to him that MIL is indeed a hoarder.

I think its VERY interesting. You dont have to live in filth though to be considered a hoarder there are different versions of it

my bf's mom is a DEFINITE hoarder.. she LITERALLY has a path thru her house...and God help you if you deviate from that path... she goes to goodwill and buys books, fabric, yarn etc... and then never does anything with it.. her mother was going thru some of the books she has and I swear she found *6* copies of the same book in 1 box... I feel sorry for her husband, the only room he can/will go into is the kitchen.. and MAYBE their bedroom... I dont see how she can live like that... it would drive me CRAZY...
