The show the other night, with them all in the shoe store...Why did I get a feeling like,,,she wanted the viewers to feel bad for her, that she had to take ALL the kids to the shoe to buy sneakers VS being able to do it on line....It was like it was beneath her to shop in a store.. I can understand with the younger kids, her limiting their choices, but she also did it with the older girls. I did like her velcro only rule...

I did find it a bit funny..with her being so preoccpied..that she packed the kids lunch for the first day and they only went 1/2 of a day...and got to eat it at home...

I do think it is good the kids are taken to catch the bus..and I'm glad she did not ride the bus to school..

I heard on the radio this morning that TLC is no longer filming and said the show will only air new shows until mid/late Nov.

Well...Jon shut down filming by TLC because he felt it was not good for the children, but he has an exclusive agreement with Entertainment Tonight that they can follow him around with a camera which includes filming the children when they are with him.

Whose the hypocrit???

He only shut down filming because he was mad that they wanted to rename the show Kate Plus 8 and he wasn't going to be on the show much. I also read in people magazine that they reclaimed the motorcycle that was made for him when they did the American Chopper show.

Have NEVER seen the show. Have just heard and read stuff about them. About how she was verbally abusive to him etc. And now all of the sudden people for sorry for her? I don't get it?
They both need to quit worrying about the dam money and put the kids first!

I don't know if she was verbally abusive to him, but she did have to explain everything to him in detail and tell him what he should be doing, or else he wouldn't be of much help with all those kids and the house. It was almost like she had another child to take care of. That's how it seemed to me anyways. She is a very organized person and likes to keep things that way, which I can understand with that many kids you would kinda have to be or it would be utter kayos in that house. I don't think their marriage and divorce is any different than any other, they just happen to be in the spotlight.

Sounds like he wants to have a show odf his own with the kids without her. Kind of makes him look like a liar for saying he doesn't think the shows good for them and that he didn't want to be on the show anymore.

She wasn't verbally abusive! She could be demanding and even condescending. I will say that she spoke down to him on many occasions. But, he was (is) indecisive and submissive. Someone had to take control and Kate was the one to step up and do it..

As for people feeling sorry for her...I don't feel sorry for her as much as I see her side in what is going on. For the most part, I think she has displayed more dignity in this situation than Jon has. She isn't going out and hitting the town with different men. She has been consistent on what she says, i.e., she does the show so she can support her kids. Jon says one thing, then another...and then does something else entirely.

Although...I do agree with you that they should be focusing on putting their children first. All this fighting which is on the front page of every magazine can't be good for the children to see.

Although I only have four, and not eight, children to support, the ungodly amount of money that family makes or the free items (clothes, bikes, crafts, trips, etc.) that family is given does more than support the kids. If the two of them (Jon and Kate) had been smart, they would have invested a good portion of that money, and could now gracefully withdraw from the spotlight and live like regular people. I think that they have both gotten caught up in living the good life and the premise that they're doing it to support the kids is no longer valid.

TLC Slams Jon Gosselin With Lawsuit

TLC Accuses Gosselin Of Violating Contract, Disclosing Show Info

Just when it seemed things couldn't get worse for the Gosselins, the family patriarch got punched in the gut by the network that once loved them: TLC.

TLC is suing Jon Gosselin for breaching his contract with "Jon & Kate Plus 8." The lawsuit, filed today in Maryland, alleges that Gosselin hasn't met the obligations of his contract as an exclusive employee, has appeared on other programs for profit and made unauthorized disclosures about the show.

"The network has been trying privately and patiently for months to get Jon to honor the contract he signed and to comply with his obligations relating to public appearances and statements," TLC spokeswoman Laurie Goldberg said in a statement to ABCNews.com. "Those efforts have been unsuccessful. The Washington, D.C., law firm of Williams & Connolly LLP has been retained to represent the network in the litigation."

Meanwhile, Kate Gosselin said in a statement Thursday that she's "disturbed" by allegations from the family's former babysitter that her estranged husband hacked into her e-mails, phone records and online bank accounts.

"Ms. Gosselin is carefully considering all of her legal options regarding this matter, and she will pursue them if and when the time is right," said a statement from Gosselin's attorneys at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, her Philadelphia law firm.

The lawsuit and hacking allegations follow the news that the Gosselins may soon be off TV for good.

"'Jon & Kate Plus 8' will be finished in mid to late November," TLC's Goldberg told ABCNews.com Thursday, declining to comment further.

According to Radar Online, TLC will craft a few more episodes of the show with unused footage: Jon Gosselin recently forbade the network from filming any new video of his eight kids.

"Basically we've put a halt on the show," Jon Gosselin's manager Mike Heller told People magazine earlier this month. "Jon has been talking to TLC for a long time to cut back on the production and still honor his contract -- because it's been getting in the way of his family, his children are complaining."

If Jon Gosselin changes his mind, his kids and ex-wife could be featured in "Kate Plus 8," TLC's planned spinoff of the soon-to-end series. If not, it could be a long time before the Gosselins come back to TV.

The development comes as Jon and Kate Gosselin's divorce grows ever more nasty. Jon was ordered to reimburse the crumbling couple's joint bank account to the tune of nearly $200,000 eariler this week.

The Gosselin's respective lawyers met with a court-appointed arbitrator Tuesday to iron out the couple's economic issues -- namely that Kate Gosselin, who wants child and spousal support, has accused her ex of taking $230,000 from their joint bank account. Talking to "The Insider" last week, Jon Gosselin countered that he only took $22,000, which he said shouldn't matter to the mother of his kids because she has money hidden away.

But according to TMZ.com, today, Jon Gosselin was ordered to return $180,000 of the funds he withdrew from the account. If he doesn't repay the money by Oct. 26, he'll have to appear before the judge for a contempt proceeding.

"The remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms. Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date," Kate Gosselin's lawyer, Mark Momjian, said.
