Remember the kid growing up who threatened to take his ball home when he didn't get picked for a team?

Well, that's Jon Gosselin.

Days after learning that TLC would continue with a new version of Jon & Kate Plus 8 that didn't include him as a major factor, the estranged husband of Kate Gosselin has demanded through his lawyers that the show cease production immediately or face potential criminal charges.


"Effective immediately, no production crews are to enter Jon's family home for any reason," a letter from his attorney says, according to The Insider. "In the event that anyone enters the marital property, Jon Gosselin will notify the local authorities to effectuate police action against any trespassers."

Jon Gosselin owns the property jointly with his wife. The letter is dated the same day as the TLC announcement that the reality show about the couple and their eight kids would be renamed Kate Plus 8 starting next season.

"Its pretty clear what's going on: Now that Jon isn't going to be on the show, he wants the show to end. All these years he's maintained that the kids aren't harmed by the show, but the minute he's removed from the show, suddenly it's bad for his family," a production source tells PEOPLE.

It's not immediately clear whether Jon Gosselin's cease-and-desist letter also applies to filming the couple's children, but after the news of the show's rebranding broke, Gosselin came forward with an apology for his post-split behavior, and filed paperwork to stall the divorce proceedings for 90 days – a move he claimed was best for the family.

But, as for claims that Jon has been trying for several weeks to end the show, the set-side source reveals that Jon was actually happily taping the show, with his kids, less than one week ago, and that his attitude seems only to have changed once the announcement came from TLC that he was out.

"In the space of a few days, the show went from being something Jon was willingly participating in to something that is now detrimental," the insider says. "That sure was fast."

On the heels of news that Jon Gosselin is trying to shut down production of Kate Plus 8, the network that made him famous is firing back with claims that his latest legal move is purely in his own self-interest.

"We are aware of Jon Gosselin's recent statements, and remain deeply disappointed at his continued erratic behavior. He and the family were shooting as recently as last Friday, without incident, and his latest comments are grossly inaccurate, without merit and are clearly opportunistic," TLC said in a statement to PEOPLE. "Despite Jon Gosselin's repeated self destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents."


Now, personally I feel that this may be the best thing for the family (and viewing public)...but what a butthole he is!

I think its a blackmail tactic to get them to put him back on the show. Couldn't she just buy another home in her name only and he'd have no say so over what she does in it then. Anybody ready for the nasty custody battle now, Whoever has the kids makes the money. I believe its fixing to get nasty now.

Yup I agree,it will get nasty. He must be over his puberty he was going through LOL. I watched an interview of him in which he stated he loved that woman he was seeing at the time more than he ever loved Kate,sounds like something a teenager would tell his new gf IMO

I watched. It was very interesting. Jon didn't come across (jmo) to sincere in his words. I think there's going to be a HUGE custody battle along with more bad behavior to come.

Where's all their money going, anyway? I think Jon said they make $25,000 an episode. Wish they'd just sell that house and get their own homes and get it over and done with. The children don't need to have their names smeared all over the news. Both parents state they are doing/wanting the best thing for their children....everytime they open their mouths they're hurting their children more and more in the long run. The 2 oldest daughters I think understand (in their own way) what's going on. The 6 I think really don't. I hate to see years from now (maybe) when this is in reruns and those children are watching their lives fall apart, parents acting irresponsible.

JMO-Both parents should of stopped the show long ago. There still may of been a divorce but it wouldn't be all over the tabloids, news, internet, talked about so much.

I heard that too. I bet its till they have a court hearing deciding who gets custody of the kids. It wouldn't surprise me if she goes for sole custody where she can keep doing the show.

I wonder what Jon is going to do with the $200,000 he took out of their joint account. She said he only left her $1000 and that the bills she paid bounced.

Everyone knows I'm Team Kate here...but I did hear Jon say something that made sense. He said they had 11 joint accounts of which this was just one of them. (Of course, he claims he didn't take that much money, either.)

I have no doubt that Jon took money without authority to do so, but I wonder where the rest of the money is that they have earned.
