I don't watch it anymore. It has definitely run it's course. I still find the situation to be so sad. I doubt it will be on the air much longer.

ya know everyone portrays her as a sweet doting mom, but i think she's a b!tch on wheels that basically forced him to a divorce. if you ever watched the show she was always so pushy and almost like a dictator to him and i think he finally cracked!
yea, he made some bad choices after the breakup, but i think less of her than of him.

I never got into the show (or watched it) but I did hear on the news teaser....that someone is leaving the show....

I could not stand her either. I know that everyone is now saying "oh poor pitiful Kate" but I think that she brought a lot of this on herself. Anyone watching those shows could she what an awful person she was. I cannot imagine being married to her.

See...I feel the exact opposite. I agree that Kate is a strong, domineering woman...but someone had to make decisions in that household. Jon is a mealy-mouthed child in a man's body (as evidenced by his recent behavior).

I posted earlier that my first marriage was like this. When my ex divorced me he said that I was too domineering. For the longest time, I believed that the fault was mine...until I met wife #2...and then wife #3. (He is on wife #4, but I don't know her enough to comment.) It turned out that he is a man who hates having responsibility, hates making decisions, hates being the one in control, etc. He wants someone else in charge. He wants to play with his toys, hang out with his friends, and be a kid.

He is almost 60 and hasn't changed much. Whenever I watched the show, Jon reminded me so much of my ex that I completely understood where Kate was coming from. Is she impatient and overbearing...most definitely. But, I have no doubt that her strength is what attracted Jon to her in the first place. He was a little boy looking for someone to take care of him.

And who asked that things slow down in the divorce? Jon! He has asked his attorney to put the breaks on everything. He says it is so that he and Kate can come to better terms with things. He says that he regrets some of his behavior.

Hmmmm...I guess being free and being held responsible for your actions isn't as fun as he thought. Could the widdle boy be sowwy for his mithakes?

My whole thing with Jon lately is that he has the tabloids on his ass about what ho he's sleeping with this week.. It's going to get back to his kids eventually and the way the tabloids screw around with stuff those poor kids aren't going to get any peace.. Kate was a ***** but other than the skewed story about her and her body guard I think she is trying to do what is best for the kids and not run around like she is having a mid life crisis.. I don't know exactly but that's how I see it

These kids will never know a 'normal' life. However their college is probably paid for *nod

They said Jon has seen the light now and is apologizing for the way he's been acting and wants to put the divorce on hold to see if they can work things out. I guess getting fired has made him see the light.

I actually don't think he got fired.He has made it clear for awhile he doesn't want to do the show.Since he doesn't want to participate(expect for brief appearances)they changed the name.

yea, jon didnt quit, he will just be on the show less often. and he also went to court to halt the divorce for 90 days so he can try to make things better with kate. to reconcile maybe? it says he made bad decisions after they separated and now he would like to take a chance to try again and go to counseling to help get the marriage back.

whatever happens i TRULY hope the kids are ok.....

What I read today was that Jon's putting the divorce on hold is being viewed as a publicity stunt more than anything else. He never told Kate about this...not even a phone call. That hardly sounds like someone who is sincere about his wanting to work together with her.
