Snoop To Be On Soap Opera & Have His Own Animated Show

Big Snoop Dogg, already a Hip Hop Icon, TV-Star and Hollywood Actor, is adding two more items to his endless resume, Soap Opera maestro and actor plus and Animated Series Star. First, the rapper has been tapped to remix the theme song for ABC's "One Life To Live." According to the Associated Press, Snoop will not only create the remix to Soap Opera's theme, but also make an extended cameo on the show, performing his hit single "Sensual Seduction" plus his next single, "Life of Da Party" which features Too $hort. Both songs are from Snoop's new album, Ego Trippin', which is in stores now. "I've been a fan of 'One Life to Live' since I was a baby," said Snoop "My momma always had it on the tube in the crib growing up. The opportunity to change up the theme song and give it some of my flavor will make the show the 'Life of The Party.'"

Snoop's debut on the Soap Opera will debut on May 8th and 9th along with his version of the show's theme song.

Second, Comedy Central has announced that Snoop Dogg will soon have his own animated series on the television station. The untitled project will be centered around the Dogg Father as a 15-year-old's life in Long Beach, CA. Snoop Dogg will executive produce the show along side Tom Lynch and it will air sometime in 2009. "We've been looking to get into business with Snoop, who's always fantastic on our roasts," Lauren Corrao (Comedy Central's president of original programming and development) said, "He's one of those people who truly crosses over between music and comedy."

I like Rex and Gigi too, they are funny. Adriana is getting boring. I heard she was leaving the show, but stayed when the writers strike went on b/c there would be no new work available. Adriana just seems whiny and sneaky. She is married to Christian in real life. What an attractive couple.

What planet was Marcy's brain on today? Gigi "make copies, faxed stuff, kissed the boss..." Marcy " you kissed Asa??" Gigi "NO" Marcy "Natalie??"

WTH?? I would be like, yeah me and Nat in the board room going at it. what are you thinking???

I don't like Marcie @ all anymore. She's crazy, and I don't like the dark hair, plus they are dressing her really dowdy. She might be a bigger girl, but they used to dress her a lot cuter than they do.
Vicki is a saint to forgive her.
That show is really boring me. GH is so much better.

Dr Ian is fun to watch!

ITA I have watched it forever but not as diligently as GH. Lately I have it on and catch enough to keep up w/ the SL but that's about it.

That's true about Marcy. When she taught HS she dressed cute and all. She had clothes that showed her curve in a good way but now she looks slopy all the time.

I like Adriana, but I don't like what they are doing to her character now. And Marcy, have you noticed everytime you see her she is eating? .. Come on, just because someone is bigger, doesn't mean they are eating all the time. With summer coming, I bet her hair gets lighter .. seems dark hair is "in" now.

I was wondering if they would do a teen pregnancy story line for Starr.

didn't Marcy dye her hair when she was on the run and that's why it's so dark.

ITA about Adriana I liked her and making her a business woman (even if it seemed really easy for her to get going but I guess w/ a woman like her mom w/ connections it helps) but she is really jealous and insecure. But then again she seems to have reason to be...

I had a hard time on GH last year when Lulu at what, 18?, had an abortion. I hope that they don't do that to Starr at 16. Maybe they will pull a Desperate Houseswives and they move away and come back w/a baby they pretend it is Todd and Bliar's, or she might have a miscarriage.
