There was another thread about this same topic a while back. I believe they offer different rewards depending on how you signed up. I first joined them a number of years ago, and only had the basic rewards they offer. I stopped receiving surveys from them, and completely forgot about them, since the rewards were not that appealing. About a year later, I got an email invitation to join e-rewards through Macy's. I rejoined, and I have Macy's gift cards as a redemption option (A $25 Macy's GC is $45, and you can redeem 1 per quarter). I have also gotten invitations from them through other companies, every once in a while, and I assume whichever company the invitation is through would be a redemption option. It would be nice if there was some way to choose which partner(s) you'd like when you first sign up, but I guess they have their reasons why they do it this way.

$50 GC for 150.00 reward points
    and
$25.00 Itunes GC for 75.00 reward points

I got an e-mail a few years ago telling me they were offering this to me for a short time.
As I said in my other post, last year the $25 Target GC was only 40.reward points so it just keeps getting worse.
I got that same e-mail. Every year they send me another one with the "good news" that it is being extended. I just about fell over when I saw that the cost for the $25 Target had gone up to $80. I was about $3 away from getting one when the cost went up. NOT happy about that. They are definitely one of the weirder survey companies... not all members being offered the same thing sounds like way more of a hassle than it's worth. I also never understood why they offer us e-Rewards currency instead of points. It's really odd paying $80 for a $25 gift card. Why can't they just make their $25 equal the gift card $25? I guess having their own currency makes it easier for them to jack up the prices of the gift cards, but it's still a weird thing - just use a point system.

I apologize for the confusion. Members have different reward options based on their sponsor enrollment program. The sponsor in whom you enroll with e-Rewards through is how e-Rewards determines your eligibility to redeem certain rewards. You can only redeem for the rewards currently listed on your rewards chart when you log into your account. If you have any further questions, please contact me. Sincerely,Martine-Rewards Member Services

Why am I only getting rewards for air miles or join a club, etc. Some people on chat boards say they are offered Target and other rewards I am not being offered. Do you offer different rewards to different people and why? Thanks.----------------------------------------------

I must have enrolled through an air miles site. ????? Or a magazine site. LOL Not very many good rewards. Wish they would offer more variety.

    I can't use upromise.
What do you mean about not being able to "use" Upromise? If you mean you haven't joined because you think you have to have a child going to college in the future, that's wrong. You can request a check at any time of the funds you earn. It's even easier now because you used to have to mail in a request, now you can just print a form, fill it out and fax it. :-)
I don't remember it being hard to switch over to earning Upromise money either. I just closed down my first account where I got useless rewards and signed up again via the Upromise site.

I thought it was only to save up for college. Do they send a check for the money you have in it? Guess I will check it out.

Yes, they send a check. And you might not even have to fax anymore. I followed this link that I found on google, and it took me directly to a page with my available balance which said I could request it online:

If that doesn't work, log-in click 'Use your Earnings' and that option will appear.

I don't remember how I got signed up for it, but the majority of my rewards have to do with airlines and hotels. There are a few offers for Zales, Macy's and JCP.

I actually prefer the hotel rewards since I'm saving up for next years vacation. Plus, with the hotel program I belong to, I can also use my points towards REAL gift cards and gas cards.

I'm $4.70 away from the big reward I want, and it seems like it's taking forever!

Thanks, I had no idea either that you could do it that way! Holy cow I've been missing out on a lot!

rosiesbrat---I hate to bother you but how did you join e-Rewards through Upromise? Do we join Upromise then join E-rewards or vice versa?

I have around 103 dollars in E-Rewards but I will need to spend them before I close my current account. I'm not sure they will let me close one account and come right back and open another one. Since I have $103 dollars in my account would e-Rewards give me a 103 dollar check through Upromise if I had that for a reward? That would be great for the next account.

All I can do with my 103 dollars now is redeem it for maybe something that will take most of the money away and let me redeem for around half my money. Not sure why they do that to some people and not others.

    TIA

You'll have to read the current FAQs on both sites since it's been so long since I switched over, they might have changed something. But when I did it, I made sure I cashed out and received what they owed me before closing my original e-rewards account that I had for Northwest miles. Then I think I went to Upromise and found the e-rewards link the same day and signed up a new account.
