I still do not understand My Points search
On the homepage it says these are the topics most searched but I thought we were suppose to search merchant sites, not news topics. What do you search for and are you getting the pts for your search?

I do trivia questions, or information I'm concerned about, news topics, etc.
IF I want to do a merchant search, I don't bother, I know who I want... lol

Yes, you use the web search. I usually click on the wikipedia result because they load fast. I just do alphabetical searches so I know where I am at. I usually do food. I also sit and do them at one time so I know they are all done for the month.

you do not have to click on any results - just search anything you want using the "Web" search - the toolbar counts them if you use that. I use the toolbar then uninstall when done

OP "Whatever" has thread about how to do search at mypoints. You can pm and ask.
I download the toolbar once to make a search and get points but it did slowed down my computer and toolbar froze several times.I did uninstall and still i can do searches through their site. When you do 31+ search ,you get 75 points although they are slow to credit your account.
Usually when I have a spare time I go to my homepage at mypoints.I type any word or name like "Kenya West".Before you hit the search button be sure that you click on the web tab (There are two tabs on top of the search bar one:merchant other :web). The reason: mypoints are giving you this points for being your search engine for web. When you get your results you can click through.I usually click through and let the new page open just in case mypoints change their rules.A lot of people dont click on the results and still they get their points.
Then go back and enter another word or whole question like "What is the best car to buy?".Be sure your "Web Tab" highlighted. Rest is Scrub,Rinse and Repeat till you reached 31 or more words.
I hope it helps
I search for daily lottery results
I do get credit but didn't download the tool bar. I click on web first then in the search box I search dogs, jobs, reward programs, fourms, walmart, ect..... anything that pop's into my head, mostly 1 word. I don't click on the results and just type in another word and wait until the page changes. I keep track with the method of the 4 lines and 1 thro the 4 lines to equal 5. Sometimes I go over just in case I forget to write down a line. HTH!

I use to put in home items like lamps, chairs, wallpaper then click on merchant. It took me to their merchant on My Pts. I guess I need to search the WEB instead then. ?????
I had their search toolbar but it messed up my computer. I had to get rid of it.
Yes, that is right you need to click on web search. I remember you telling about the toolbar messing up your computer so that is one of the reasons I've never downloaded it. Thanks guys for telling you don't have to click on one of the results. That will make my searches go much quicker.
I made 41 searches in "Web Offers" and 50 in
"Shopping" last month, and was only credited for 27 searches.
I wrote to My Points only to receive a form letter which tells me nothing.
I don't use their toolbar (don't want my puter to crash).
I would like to know what are considered "searches".
Are they "Web Offer" or "Shopping" in your account under the heading "Description."
I might be doing this all wrong.
If anyone could answer this I would be indebited to you for life !!!
P.S. I'm old.
