I been waiting for one of my cinemark cards from Nov so today i got in my email that i have to fax a copy of my id into them so i can get my card. My wife got one too. And she cashed out for cinemark in Dec. We are going to do this but all this time i have been waiting for my card and now they want me to do this.

geez, sounds like just another stall technique, but was in their tos . Is fax the only way to respond or can you snail mail the info also? I am very leery of faxing personal info because I used to see a lot of personal info sent to the wrong fax at my old job because someone fat fingured the number amnd also with fax machines spitting out copies in public locations. I do not understand why so many businesses (like paypal) force us to do business by fax only. Also I do not havre easy access to a fax machine now and would have to go somewhere and pay for a fax. Again not a plan for personal info

What kind of ID did they ask for? Driver's license? It does sound like another tactic to slow things down. They could call us to verify who we are.

I cashed out for GC in Nov. About 3 weeks ago the status changed from processing to fulfilled. But, I have not yet received GC. Is this normal or should I be worried?

I think we should all be worried since they have paid no monies since the middle of March to ecard. On April 17th Mike said he would try to get an answer on how far they are on redemptions. As of today no answer from him.

They asked for a photo id. My wife and i sent them a copy of our drivers license. Ofcourse we black out the driver license number.

Let us know if they accept this. I think they may claim it is not valid ID since you blacked out number.

Here is an update after i wrote my last reply on here i sent them an email and said i did send in the fax then they wrote back and asked what fax number i sent it too and i told them the number then all of a sudden they said they did find both of the faxes that my wife and i sent in. They said that they were stucked together.

About the numbers being blocked out actually that is none of their business so that is why we blacked them out and yes it is ok to do this.

I wonder if they are doing the "fraud check" for all redemptions. It will take even longer than the 6 months that it's taking now if they do that for all rewards. There is a thread on their forums in "General Questions and Comments" titled FRAUD CHECK. This is Mike's (mjp65) reply to a post what asked if all members are checked on Apr 21st, 2008 03:21 pm:

"Different things trigger different types of checks and balances. Some larger wins require us to ask for player ID and/or other information. We can and may also do this randomly as a spot check on any prize claim.

In addition, the site has many automated security features that I can not disclose, in fact most of them I do not even know about I am sure. These collect data that helps us catch cheats. Cetain flags would cause us to take different measures, such as asking a player to verify their identity."
