Winster.com is a legitimate web site

    Folks -

HUNDREDS of people have won free movie tickets and other prizes from us. Check out our testimonials page. If you have any questions about our credibility, please try out our site - which you can do for free - and ASK the other people who are playing whether they had any problems.

To claim your free prize, you have to sign up for a free two-week trial of our club, which requires you to enter either a valid credit card or a verified Paypal account. You can easily cancel at any time during the free trial, keep your prize, and you will NOT be charged.

There are some limitations to avoid fraud: For example, only one free prize per household or per credit card.

If the people posting here followed the rules and had a problem for any reason, please email my support team: support at winster.com (obviously, with an "@" sign, not "at".)

    Thank you!

    Winnie

    You have no risk.

Currently, we process prize claims 3 times a week, so if you've followed the rules, you should get them within a few days at most.

Moreover, whether you cancel or not before you receive your prize doesn't matter. If you've started a two week free trial, you are entitled to the free prize, and we'll send it to you even if you cancelled.

In some cases - for instance if you sign up using an unverified PayPal account - you will not receive your tickets until after your first payment clears.

Even then, it's a steal. A basic membership costs $4.95 per month. Depending on where you live, two movie tickets are worth up to $20. Not only that, you can earn MORE tickets or other prizes during that month of membership.

But if you don't follow the rules - for instance, pretend that you live at a different address in order to get a second free prize - you won't get anything!

if your legit..why are you so worried about my opinion..and fyi tickets in my area are $6 each...im not paying 4.95 a month or giving out my credit card info to play your puzzles..simply not doing it. i would rather pay 5.99 a month at pogo.com to play games knowing i will never win anything!!! END OF STORY WINNIE OR WHOEVER YOU ARE!!!!

    Exclamation Re: Winster.com beware

Find it amusing that the site master reads a freebies site. I am the original poster and I see where these site try to get away with not giving what is promised. My son signed up after he heard about fandango codes. They tried to allege we lived at the same address even though repeated emails showed a different residence and a different paypal account. After repeated emails he was given one code not the two promised. I still dont trust this site and makes me more suspisious that "winnie" engages in responding to our posts

    Folks-

If someone were questioning your integrity in public without the courtesy of identifying themselves, you might feel compelled to respond as well!

However, Ppiggy has just identified herself - since I've received exactly 1 complaint in giving out thousands of free movie tickets.

Ppiggy knows perfectly well that 'her son' signed up for a second account from the same address, in violation of our rules, as noted earlier in this thread. Sending me emails after the fact claiming to be from somewhere else doesn't change the fact that our computers flagged the rule violation and cancelled the duplicate request. He also violated other rules that I will not detail here out of courtesy to him.

Despite this, I sent him to the movies FOR FREE, after sending Ppiggy and a friend to the movies FOR FREE. Funny that she doesn't seem to 'know' that I did this?

If anyone should acknowledge that our site is giving our free gifts, surely it would be her? Instead she falsely calls Winster a 'fraud'.

Ppiggy, can you please acknowledge that your family has received 3 completely free tickets from Winster.com?

Hope that sets the record straight.

cinn45: You do NOT have to pay $4.95 to get free tickets. Free means Free. Even if you did, and tickets are $6 where you live, that's a $12 value for $4.95. What's not to like?

I have no problem if you'd rather not use my web site, but may I respectfully request that you refrain from publicly accusing me of being a fraud when you have no reason to say so other than a mistrust of strangers.

    Re: Winster.com beware

Jerry Kaplan launches game site Winster -- You may recall the quirky Jerry Kaplan, who among other things founded GO, the Kleiner Perkins-backed pen computer startup that failed, a story he spills the beans about in his novel Startup: A Silicon Valley Adventure. We learn via AlarmClock that Kaplan has closed funding for Winster, a Burlingame start-up that offers prizes like Fandango tickets to users who play some online games. It gets $1.5M of a $1.75M Series A funding round led U.S. Venture Partners. Alarmclock notes: Its early days so we will cut Kaplan a break, but the model and site are not terribly impressive. Agreed.

Funny howupset you seem to get winnie if that is your real name. I did not misrepresent anything and as far as this supposed itme you are holding back as a curtisity to my son there is no need. I through a reccomendation on this site signed up for the free fandango codes which I did recieve. My son heard and he who lives at a different address signed up and was told eh would not receive any as he lived at the same address. he explained in several emails that the address was different and threatened to report you to the bbb. As a result of this you did offer my son a free code after saying he violated some quirky rule about non-verified paypal account. Sites like yours try to defraud the public and then when they are caught try to plaicate the subscriber with a substitute of waht they firstly were promised. The mere fact that you seem to be protesting so strongly seems only to confirm that you know your site is exactly what I said and I repeat anyone who uses your site does so at their own risk. It angers me that you are trying to defraud people on this forum that you are an injured party when that is far form the truth
