I don't post here often (actually I wasn't sure if I was a member but I was able to log in), but I am a gold member at winster also. It is not a scam. I have only cashed out for the movie ticket but I'm more than halfway to the ipod shuffle. I have met many people online who have cashed out and received there prizes. I think that they did have some glitches at winster that may have caused some issues but they seem to be willing to work with members to fix the problems. Also, the cash out method is a little confusing and I can see how new members can get confused and end up not receiving their prize.
I, too, have nothing to gain by posting. As you can see, I became a member here back in 2001 so I didn't sign up just to post about winster. I just felt like some may have been missing out on a fun opportunity to earn some gift certificates.

i have had a problem with winster :-( and have been left feeling scammed!
I have been trying to reach customer service for OVER 3 WEEKS!!!
I left my name and number for a callback but have never received a call.
EVERY TIME I call .... customer service is NOT available !!! it always goes IMMEDIATELY to the PRERECORDED MSG !!!
I need to speak with someone!!!
This is a HORRID way to do business!!!
There is ABSOLUTELY NO reason why I should not be able to speak with someone in THREE weeks!!!
sooo .... any winster devotees got any suggestions for my plight???

I have been a gold member there since July and I love it. I have gotten movie tickets and $79 for amazon.com. The members are very friendly. I'm sorry to everyone that is/has had problems but I can't say enough good things about them.

Stop bashing Winster.com guys, its the best place to meet cool friends. and forget about the problems you have going on. just come in pull up a chair, take your shoes off, get warm and cozy, and spin for friends! Jerry is great, and YOU TOO would surf the net to see who has said what about your company, if you wouldnt then I would ask what planet you came from. Winster.com is a happening place, if it wasn't then all the people both members and not, wouldnt be on that site and the place would have closed down by now. Plus, Notice people, how many people have replyed to this post in a bad way? not to many, tells you someting doesnt it? Just because you have a few people that didnt follow directions correctly, doesnt mean that Winster.com is a bad place. it just means that something big is happening there, and these people reporting crud about winster.com happen to be jelous. The best way to find out about a website, is to come take the 14 day trial and check it out for yourself. Other wise, all those people on winster, me as well. This site is a fraud do not sign up? This post should be pulled! That is a pretty audacious statement to make with no backing besides a few problems you have had.
I am a member since November, and was able to give my kids the Christmas they deserve because of Winster. Currently I win approx 100 dollars a month and all I have to do is play fun cooperative games. And your points never go down so you do win prizes no matter what.
Poor judgement call here. Good forums equal thinking & researching before you speak! Check out Winster on the better business bureau. 1 resolved complaint.
I am shocked at the level of quick triggers on this one.

My only regret about winster is, I wish I found it sooner.
Any problems I had were corrected fast, The gift certs are a blessing. And I have met some really nice people.
Please don't take a isolated event and make it bigger then it needs to be. Give it a try for yourself, they do offer a 14 day FREE pass, where you can get a free movie ticket.

I too recommend Winster. I had a few problems over the past few months some due to my own fault by not reading through prize claim info but both times Customer service has come through for me and has even gave me extra points or spins and replaced movie tickets that I thought that I had lost. They stand behind their service 100% and thanks to them my family had an even better Christmas. I've recently agreed to be a Host which by the way is a VOLUNTEER who greets and helps out other Winster Players. I am happy to do it and there is NO compensation. It has been my pleasure to make the acquainaince of most of their players.
