Thread: Do you believe in posessions?

I've always wondered if there is really something like that or if people make it up or maybe have a mental problem? And if you do believe does their personality completely change? I've seen on tv where they go from being nice to really hateful and mean. And do they do things and then have no memory of it.

No, don't believe in things like demonic/spirit possession because I'd have to believe in demons and spirits or other forces and I don't.
I believe it's one of several forms of psychosis.

I believe some people have more meanness in them than others.

I believe people use the devil made me do it excuse to justify the bad things they do. Either they can't accept that they do wrong or they just need someone else to blame it on.

I believe in paranormal things. However I am a doubter on possessions. I don't see how an entity can possess a living being?

I try to not watch those television shows because it give's me creeps. I prefer to think about happy things instead of dark ones. You'll be more happy that way.

Frankly I think anyone who says they're possessed is full of bullcrap. I think they want attention or have a mental illness. And someone that does it in the first place and then denies doing it has a serious problem or just says it in the first place. Why would someone pretend to be possessed.

Have you been told by someone they are possessed? You sound very angry about this. If someone acts like this around you, maybe they need help. You should show compassion to them instead of anger.

There are many christians that believe there is such thing, as in the bible there were many that were possessed/taken over by evil spirit/s ... and Jesus cast them out of them....such as, have you ever heard of rebuking an evil spirit, or binding? Such a serious question...... so many levels, so many opinions that all people have about it. IDK, it does sound like you are personally dealing with something/someone, do you go to church, can you talk to the person, your pastor? I believe that some people are just plain evil too!

Its something you see on tv when people are caught doing really bad crimes and I wondered how people felt about it.

I spoke to someone I know who is a member of a church and he said definately there are spirits that cause people to do bad things. As Jasmine said, in the Bible Jesus cast them out of people. He said God is love and would never cause people to do bad things.
