That was nice. Sometimes kids are smarter than adults if you ask me.

I'm a Christian also. My children were taught religion in the home and the church. I don't believe it belongs in schools, unless it is a class like my 8 yr old DD takes every year called Lifestyles & Diversity; which gives a little info on different religions & lifestyles & doesn't endorse any of them. But both my children know that they can pray anywhere they are at... the school, the mall, etc.

That's awesome that her school teaches that! IMO all schools should, but I'm sure it would p!ss a lot of people off.

What about the schools who provide a prayer room for Muslims to say their daily prayers? They need to pray three times a day so it is given to them special. Isn't that combining church and state?

What public schools do that? Also, are they leading a prayer for the entire school or simply praying themselves? Christians can pray in school anytime they want to. They just can't lead other students in prayer. Unless Muslim teachers are saying "Ok kids, time to go to the prayer room and give thanks to Allah" it's not the same thing.

Public schools PROVIDE a "prayer room", where?
I imagine a lot of people would be flipping there lid about that.
See, that's what I was trying to say in my other post, you can't give one religion rights, without giving the next religion rights, and lets face, there's to many religions to address everyones beliefs in the school system, that's why I believe in separation of church in state, not in the schools, do at home and other places all you want. School, is for education, not worshiping.
