Son in Hospital again.
Im sorry to bother everyone again but my son Brendon is in the hospital again--we went to er on monday night with 103.5 temp,transfered to Shands Hospital Gainsville,Fl Tuesday afternoon ---RE: brendon making some progress. Ruled out the flu and are awaiting blood cultures. Can be here for another 48 hours or possibaly up to 2 weeks, dont know yet. Only tests and time will tell.
Update on Brendon--dad just called and said Brendon white blood cells down from 18,000 to 1--infection somewhere but dont know where he will be in hospital at least a week. Has to have shots 3 times a day to build immune system back up.His immune system is so bad that he cannot even leave his room,Dad says he was up watching tv last night so we are making some progress.Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks.

Oh my. I just read some information on your Son and what a strong boy he must be! s Many prayers that this passes soon and he heals quickly.
"First child in US to receive heart, two lungs and liver transplant performed in Pittsburgh in 1998.
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center revealed in early December that surgeons had performed the first heart, both lung and liver transplant into a child ever performed in the US. The surgery was performed on 3-year-old Brendon Ednie at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh August 21-22 but not announced until December 12 because the wanted to make sure Brendon has a good chance for survival."

I just read that also, truely amazing!! What a strong boy you have 
Hopefully the culture results will help the doctors to pin-point where and what the problem is quickly, and enable them to find the right medication..... to use.
Praying that the doctors will find the reason for the deterioration of his immune system, and that it gets stronger and stronger by the minute, and also for strength for you and your family. (hugs)!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone I guess I am just lonley with out hubby and son home.Im not alone I have my Daughter,My dog and My cat to keep my company.

Rebecca Ednie made a mistake hubby correcting me--Bryon Ednie It went from 18,000 to 1,000. Doctor said they dont know what virus or where it is.He is going to have to have three shots this week to help stimulate the white blood cells.

I hope they find out what it is and give him something to correct it. I'll keep him and your family in my prayers that he'll have a full recovery.
