I wish Tom Cruise would give up that religion. He became a complete wacko once he joined.

Whether it's true or not......I think it happens quite often when a loved one dies that a person would question their religion and/or the care given to that loved one. That's human nature. (especially if it varied from 'main stream'.)
And if John Travolta wanted 'out' and he's so grief stricken....would he really care what 'confessions' they 'had' on him? (If in fact they even do.)
I just hope he and his family find peace....it's not something I would ever wish on anyone.

Maybe. What kind of facts would a "church" have on him that was so bad he could not quit? I was very sorry for his sons death and believe the church of scientology is whack about medical treatment, like Hovies not being able to have surgeries involving blood transfusions etc. I wish that the rag mags would just lave John and his family alone to grieve in peace.

If you do even a minimal amount of research into this "church" you will know that ppl don't use their real names (when it comes to the church alone) because they will out right attack you. They will go to many lengths to keep things under wraps. It's sad and pathetic and I believe every bit that they are blackmailing him... I would, in my state of grief, blame them too... since they believe anything can be cured by being put on the cans and taking vitamins. Look up the ppl who have died while in their care. You'll be shocked.

John Travolta wants to quit Scientology
Is John Travolta Leaving Scientology?
Posted Tuesday 29 September 03:01 PM
After John Travolta took the witness stand last week and testified that his late son Jett was autistic, people wondered if The Church of Scientology would soon lose one of its high-profile members. Until then, Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston said their son had Kawasaki disease, a rare condition that causes arterial inflammation because autism is not recognized in the church.
Because autism is often treated with the types of mood-stabilizing drugs that Scientology opposes, Jett is believed to have gone without appropriate treatment for years because of the church's teachings.
Back in July, the 55-year-old actor denied reports claiming he was abandoning Scientology following the death of his son Jett (via PEOPLE.) But now, he's keeping quiet and refuses to comment on his relationship with the church.
Tory Christman, an outspoken Scientology critic who left after more than 30 years in the organization told The Daily Beast that Travolta's admittance of Jett having autism was a sure sign he'd be leaving the church.
"My hope for him is that he starts looking" at what really happened, she said. "He'll reach the right decision... I just don't want him to be used by the church. It's horrible he lost his son but change something. He's a guy who could really make a difference."
Christman, who is epileptic, said the institution has little tolerance for chronic conditions and pushed her to stop her medication and use vitamins and supplements instead. The first time she cut back on her medications, she had a grand mal seizure in her bathroom and knocked out her front teeth. She says she resumed her medication but tried to stop again in the face of continued objections from the church-- and again faced disastrous results.
Tommy Davis, a spokesman for Scientology, denounced former Scientologists who are critical of the church as "liars," adding, "It's a horrific, horrific thing for these people to take the tragic death of a young boy and try to turn it on his parents' religion."
"This religion is utterly and completely about helping. It's just insane to think that Scientology would be a factor in somebody not getting all the help they need," Davis added.

IMO Scientology isn't a religion...it's a cult. I feel so bad for John and Kelly, first they lose their son, then they're the victims of an extortion plot, and now this crap.

Kirstie Allie turned Travolta onto Scientology. She started the so called religion here in my city since she was raised here and has a big house where it is headquartered. She claimed it was responsible for getting her off drugs and she was ok for many years but I see she is a food junky now. If she never dealt with the underlying issues they will come back to bite her. Vitamins and eating right does go a long way in cleaning yourself from drugs but counseling is also needed.
I don't see how they can claim any medical knowledge like Cruise denouncing psychiatry, etc. They can be a dangerous cult if they turn people away from doctors.
I wish they would put out a "confession" so someone could sue them out of business. Imagine all the money they have with all the celebs who have joined.

I'm sorry that he and his wife are going through this......I wouldn't wish it on anyone....BUT.....stop blaming the (so called) church. YOU'RE the parent. If your child is sick, then it's YOUR responsibility to take care of them no matter WHAT!
If John and Kelly got him the proper care, maybe he'd still be alive today.
