My Dad is battling prostate cancer right now too. Of course he didn't want either of us girls to know. His girlfriend finally said something. Boy we were mad at him and her. He still doesn't know that we know.
Hugs for you and DH. The power of prayer is amazing!

A dear friend had his out last year. His was detected early thanks to the bone scan ordered. He is cancer free now. When the diagnosis came down, both he and his wife were both "get rid of the cancer"...whatever that takes and whatever that means in the long run. They haven't regretted that decision. However, Paul is battling with depression now and hasn't recovered as quickly as he would hope from the adverse side effects of the surgery. (You'all know what I mean.)
The meds for ED just give him migraines.
But...he is alive and we are so thankful for that.

Just like janelle, when my father's prostate cancer was found it had already spread. Praise God that Randy's has not spread. I will keep him in my prayers, especially since he is having surgery on my birthday. May God's wonderful grace sustain you as you are going through this rough time.

Shirl, that definitely is positive news in a bad situation. I'm glad it's being taken care of so hopefully you both can move past this and he can begin to heal and start your new lives in UT.

Sending prayers your way. My neice"s husband was diagnosed with prostrate cancer and it was caught early and he has beem cancer free for 3 years, so early detection has certainly saved you DH's life.
