Prayers for my dad please
My sister called me when I got home from work tonight. My dad was admitted to intensive care today with pneumonia and an erratic heartbeat. He had a heart attack 8 years ago and I'm really worried. He is 75 and I don't want to lose him. Your prayers will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Lisa

I am sorry about your daddy. I will pray that he makes a full recovery. I am not sure but are you in the same "area" as he is, so that you are able to visit? I sure hope so. I will also say a prayer for you. HUGS!!!

Thanks for the prayers. Mary, no, my parents are in Tulsa and I am in Iowa, 600 miles away. I wish I was there. I was just down there visiting them over the long holiday weekend and he was fine. I guess he started feeling ill right after I left but wouldn't go to the doctor.

Thats what I was afraid of. I am sorry and if I lived in Tulsa I would go visit him for you. Please keep us updated on his progress. I just know it will be good news. Positive thinking!

A little update on my dad. Overnight the medication they were giving him to try to get his heart beat evened out caused his blood pressure to bottom out so they had to quit giving it to him. They are now trying an oral med. They said he has Afib - Attrial Fibrillation. They are not sure if the pnuemonia is causing it or if he was already experiencing it before he got sick. His heart rate has been 150-200 beats a minute. They have also put a bipap on him for his breathing. What does this all mean? I'm not really sure and am waiting for another call from my brother later this afternoon. That call will decide wether I get in the car in the morning and head down there. I just came home from work early cause I didn't sleep last night and I'm exhausted so I'm going to try to get a nap.
