No words of wisdom here, but as someone that has been there and done that, you have my support for what it is worth. My children are the reason that I could finally make the right decision. I couldn't imagine them growing up with that and the rest that comes along with it.

Don't answer this if it is too personal. Is your husband a drug user? or was he depressed and thought this was going to help him. I have lived with both. Either is extremely hard. I will be thinking of you and wishing you luck. Is there nothing that can be done to the hospital for discharging him?

Yes, I recently found out he was abusing prescription drugs for some time now... it is very hard. I feel so stupid and I beat myself up wondering how I could not have known...

Don't beat yourself up about it. Drug users, legal or not, are slick! I was an RN and didn't recognize it.

Don't beat yourself up over something you didn't know.You know now and are taking the right steps.You are dealing with enough right now,putting yourself down is not something you need.I hope things look up soon.

Praying for you...you can do it ...i did...everyday day is a challenge but i have made it thru so far on my own for the last 2 1/2 years....
my kids were a bit upset at first but now they know it was all for the best....

Been there, done that.
It won't be easy but you and the kids will get through it.
I'll be praying for you.
Keep yourself safe. Have a plan especially for when late at night he tries to sweet talk you into letting him back. Remember the most dangerous time for you is after you have that order of protection so watch your back at all times.
See if you can get counseling for the kids.

I think that many of us here have been through this or something damn similar! We are all here for you... I went something very similar with my ex-husband... and I've been divorced now for a year.
I KNOW you can do this because you seem so strong! If you need someone to talk to, just IM me here and we can share stories!

Please be careful though because he might try to straighten up just to get back in and that usually last until he feels he has got you where he wants you again. Don't let him mess up your life what you have built for your family because he can't get it together. Stay strong and you will be better in the long run. Take care and God bless.

Thank you, yes his M.O. is to clean up and act right and weasel his way back in so that he does not have to take responsibility for his own life. I am over him now and find him terribly annoying. He will not be able to coax his way back in anymore, been there done that one too many times.

It is hard, but I am going to go back to church and I always feel better when I do.

The kids are doing fine really... they act out a little bit more than usual but I can identify that as their coping so I just try and be extra patient with em.

Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts, I appreciate it so much.
