Ok... here we go... the big "C" word... good vibes, prayers, whatever you want to throw this way.
Ok guys, this has all happened soooooooo fast !
On Monday my FIL was put in the hospital for "difficulty breathing" from advanced COPD... he's had it for maybe 6 to 8 years. No big deal, they said he had a little phenumonia in one lung.
Tuesday, it came back that the Xrays found some 'spots' on his lung. They did a PET scan, and found other 'spots' on his adrenal grands, and, in some of his lymph nodes. They 'assumed' cancer... but, were not 100% sure, until today. They did needle biopsies and confirmed lung cancer, and, have already planned the removal of his upper right lung. I guess chemo and radiation for the adrenals and lymph nodes.
He is scared to death. We were always on him to quit smoking, I guess he waited too long.
Anyway... it seems this will be a long run, and any prayers, vibes etc... will be greatly appreciated.

So sorry about you FIL. My FIL got lung cancer as well. He stopped smoking but his wife didn't so he got it from second hand smoke.

Cancer IS extremely scary. Many prayers go to your FIL and everyone who cares about him. I hope all treatments are successful!

Way... well, he, Clark, finally gave up the garage to his son, DH's brother, Clay... Clark is the Dad, he's my FIL.
