UPDATE:
We found out yesterday that my son's pancreatitis is genetic. No one on either side of the family has had pancreatitis so we're a little confused about that. DH and I have to be tested to see which one of us is a carrier. Our oldest son has to be tested to see if he's got that "certain gene". He's got a pretty good chance of having it since apparently DH or I seem to be a carrier.
