Healing Prayers

For a dear friend of mine who has learn to trust me over the years and let me in and he doesnt do that with many and has become to me like a father and I am like a daughter to him. He is fighting an infection in the bone of his foot and has been in the hospital. He is very depressed right now they cant get his sugars under control and today he sounded frail weak and like he is giving up the fight. I wouldnt blame him he is sick and in pain and has been for years many health issues. He at least wants to hold on for as long as his dog lives she is 10 right now I know it sounds silly but they have been his rock over the years.

If you manage a few prayers for him he is a very religous man that would be great

Prayers for your friend and for his caregivers. Find a way to make him laugh! Do something silly, surprising, funny that will break the grip of sadness and pain. It's harder to heal when a person is so focused on the pain. Describe some fun thing that you two can do together once he is better, and he can concentrate more on the healing and less on the hurting. The mind is a powerful tool.

I have been I call him everyday and fill him in and I make sure I get him to laugh but he is very sad he is without his compainion his dog. I am going to try to bring her out on my weekend off. She is being taken care of by the people he lived with. It breaks my heart and I just want to cry becase he isnt this type of person nothing really gets him down. It is almost like he knows I have seen this one to many times before.

Well I guess the man upstairs isnt listening maybe he will help Sarah win her election instead. His foot is getting worse he is very depressed and thinking of going AMA and just going off to die somewhere.
