Need Prayers Please
My Dad went in for routine tests for surgery on Monday. His EKG was abnormal so they sent him to the hospital for more tests. They found an aneurism in his aeorta that is 8 cm. Over 4 we were told its urgent. We had to move to a good cardiac care hospital. I live 2 1/2 hours from the hospital he is at.
When they found this my Mother called hysterical saying get here! I need you! Well, I made it in under 2 hours.
They are doing surgery tomorrow to try to remove it. I won't know time until around 8 tomorrow. OOPS! Today! II have just gotten home as they would NOT let but one person stay. Which I think sucks. But thats for vent/whine! I will be leaving again in 4 hours heading back. I ran out with no checkbook and no CC for a hotel, but will have all tomorrow in case of worst case scenario!
Anyway,we are scared to death that something will happen.
Just please pray all.
Thanks!
Tonya

I hope so! So wired up can't sleep and KNOW I have to be up in 3 hours to get on road again! I know it can do miracles, but I am just flabergasted! He had all this done 6 mo ago for annual check up and nothing showed. Now its 8 cm?

I'll pray for him and ya'll too. Sheila 361 is right. They're doing wonders with heart surgeries these days. Two of my husbands brothers have had them and are doing great now. Praying that your dad comes through the surgery good and has a speedy recovery. I know its scary for all of you.

My husbands brother was in his early sixties and he did good. It took a while to recover but he hasn't had a problem since and its been nine years now.

My whole house is torn apart from the remodel--BTW, I did find reasonable cabinets that I wanted! For $127.00 a foot! Big diff than $383.20! And I am having to get up already for last 3 days @ 4am to pack a diff area for them to work in (tile still). So I am already exhausted! WAHHHH!

My uncle had major heart surgery last year and he was 70. He was up the next day walking. They really have made such advancements. I'll be praying for your dad to have a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Hugs to you. I know how stressful it is to have a sick parent.
