Is it a cone biopsy? If so, I've had one. Not very pleasant, but you can drive home. Good luck!

the uterine sonogram was more uncomfortable than the biopsy for me... but then, no one prepared me beforehand that it was going to be an internal sonogram... I didn't expect it and so I was even more uncomfortable.

With the uterine biopsy I had they didn't give me anything so I could have drove myself home. It hurt like heck and was nerve wracking so I was very glad my husband drove me. The uterine ultra sound didn't hurt at all. I have had 3 or 4 of them. It probably depends on the person and the person doing them. The ultra sound tech held my hand while the doctor did the biopsy and I was glad she did. I hope yours goes good and everything is normal.

Uterine sonos are better than when they press on your bladder from the outside after you have put gallons of water in there. Then they say to hold the water in---yeah right. They let me get up and realease some----have you ever tried to stop peeing half way through? I did it put it was hard. I prefer the internal ones---not much different than a pap test.

In the past I felt crampy after wards---But nothing that would make it impossible to drive home...Bring a panty liner as you may spot after --

Just want to clarify... the sono did NOT hurt... it was just very uncomfortable cause no one told me it was internal... the biopsy didn't hurt at all... and I could have driven myself if I had to but hubby had taken me. They ended up having to do surgery on me... they don't usually have to do surgery, they can just use a local and do it in the office but for some reason she had me go in to an operating room in the hospital... I never did understand why. That never really hurt either and I only bled for about 6 hours after. Being able to pee after coming off the anesthesia was really the hardest part... I couldn't get my bladder to wake up and had to sit there for 20 minutes w/ a nurse making sure I didn't fall off the toilet... it's funny now, it wasn't then.

well i had originally went in wanting to see about getting the Novasure procedure done, but now she's saying my uterus feels severely enlarged and if these tests confirm everything, more than likely i'll end up with a hysterectomy.
